NOOBIE! 1991 YJ Renegade

Hey, I am new here. I recently got a 1991 White Wrangler YJ Renegade, it is my first car, and i absolutely love it! This forum has helped me a lot with several projects I have already undertaken with the Jeep. I have pulled out the carpet kit, covered up my rusted out driver's floorboard, bedlined the tub, and put in a totally new audio system. When I got it, it was in pretty bad shape, but I saw the potential in it. I got it for $3700 and will easily put that much back into it in fixing it up. So far I have a list of things that need to be done... but when it is done, it will be totally different from when i got it! I have big plans for it and it has become a big project for me, but on a 16 yr old's salary, it will be done over time!

well, after fixing it up, it will be better than new and I think that it will be a great car for me for many years to come!

Also, i have a question... i was reading that '91 YJ Renegades are rare? Is that true? and after fixing it up and making it really nice do you think it will be worth something? (I would never sell it because I love it and it is my baby, but just wondering)

Well thanks!

the reason they are rare is that no one bought them.. it was an extra 4-5k for the upgrade. Off road they do fine, but the big fenders and bumpers can cause issues with clearance.

Welcome to the forum! Looks like a nice RENEGADE you've got there. Watch out for all the RENEGADE haters here though!

If you fall into the trap & decide to take off the flares / bumpers, let me know, I'm looking for a good set!
