Hi, while I just took possession of my first Wrangler today, I've been a Jeep owner for years. 2 Grand Cherokees and a beat to crap old 4 banger CJ I got for $300.
While I am a member of many forums, this is the most targeted forum I've ever joined. I'm not used to seeing my post count in the single digits. Guess I'll have to work on changing that.
I live in Northern New Mexico and the view off my back deck is the Santa Fe National Forest while the view out of my front window is Rowe Mesa, a huge BLM property where I've spent countless hours exploring. 10 miles from my place is an abandoned mica mine that draws me there weekly during the warm months.
I've only touched on the trails that are available to me and I hope that the new Sahara will allow me to expand my explorations. The Grand Cherokees were nice and fairly capable, but still limited in their stock forms. I still have the newest GC and my wife is driving it. Still enjoy driving it since it has a Hemi, but my wife needed a 4x4.
We travel to Ouray twice a year and spend a week each time. Tow our ATVs and use whichever method to trail ride the weather allows. In September I have to go to San Francisco for work and we plan on driving so that we can visit Green River and Moab Utah on the return trip. It's been many years since we've done Utah.
Looking forward to being an active member of this forum!
