hello to the jeep community ! restoring 98 TJ, need to get some information on the "channels" which receive the body bolts and bushings. Mine are rusted in the middle and i need to replace them before I install my new nerf bars, but i cant find them. Anybody that can help me ???

If you mean the body mounts, there are 11 total - 5 on each side, and one under the front, in the middle. One is behind the rear wheel, 3 under the rocker pannels, and one near the front axle somewhere. Once you find one the rest should be easy to spot. It just looks like a rubber bushing, about an inch high and as big around as a 50 cent piece. There is a bolt running vertically through it, from bottom to top.

If you're replacing them, losten all 5 on one side but leave the bolts in Remove the bolts from the other side , along with the front. You can jack the body up enough to replace the one side. Bolt those on loosely, and do the other side the same way. This will hold the body in place while you remove the bolts from the side you're working on.
