| Old guy's first Jeep
Just got my first Jeep on Sunday 7/15/07 after looking for several weeks at both CJ7s (1976-1986) and Wrangler's (YJ's w/square headlights 1987-1996, and TJ's 1997-2006).
Bought a 1997 Wrangler Sport (TJ), 4.0 litre straight 6, 5 spd, White, 1/2 doors, black sailcloth BestTop, Black powdercoated double tube bumpers (mfr unknown), brushed aluminum side step rails (mfr unknown), Skyjacker 2.5" lift, 5 brand new BFGoodrich TA All-Terrains 33x12.5x15 (huge) on black steel rims, otherwise stock drivetrain, nice SONY CDX-MP40 stereo with detachable face w/ Alpine speakers, Viper Alarm w/Motion detector (goes off if someone reached into the cab).
The thing had 76,284 miles on it and had never been seriously off-roaded and it shows.
Not only is the body and original paint and interior excellent, it is very nice underneath also....none of the usuall scrapes and dings from off-road/mud duty.
Oh....and cold AC

Welcome to the WF.
Hockley...that's just right on up the road.
I can remember when it was a nice country drive to get to Hockley.
Take care

| Welcome! When you can list all of those cars, you're showing your age and I feel I must be right there with you. But, all those vehicles can never compare to the incredible experience of a Jeep Wrangler. Got my first one at age 50 and hope to always have one. As the bumper sticker says: "It's a Jeep Thing; You Wouldn't Understand." Welcome to the "zoo"!
