I had a Rubicon. Now I have a . . . non-Rubicon. I cannot tell that my front axle is now a Dana 30 as opposed to a Dana 44. Just can't tell. Until I snap it I guess. Go ahead, put "Rubicon" on your Jeep. Nine out of ten people won't notice the discrepancy, seven out of ten won't know what Rubicon is, and one out of ten will think it's cooler because it has "Rubicon" on the hood. Enjoy!

Welcome! The way I see it, it's your Jeep, put what you want on it and don't worry about what other people think!

i think that it is silly putting a sticker from a TJ on a YJ. you will most likely get laughs from the people that know. why do u want the sticker anyways? get a big "wrangler" sticker instead

Just don't put a "SAMURAI" or 'TRACKER" sticker on it...you'll be fine.

If you're gonna put rubicon parts on it. Otherwise; it's like putting accord stickers on a civic.

It's your jeep. Make it your own. If that is what you want to do to it so be it. Don't worry about what other people think. Also they will probably find something else to give you crap about anyways. Just have fun in your jeep!!!

I would think it'd be silly, yes. More importantly though, I think it'd bother you.

For those that know, they'd know it was false. For those that don't know, it wouldn't matter what it said. And for you, you'd wonder whether every person you see looking at your jeep was somebody who knew or not. You'd never really be satisfied.

My recommendation would instead be to use another term--"Rubiclone" (if you've got lockers, sway discos, etc.), or "Wrangler," or "YJ 1995," or the latitude/longitude lines of your current favorite or hoped for future wheeling spot, or just about anything else that accurately describes you or your Jeep.

The only people who know what a Rubicon is are the only ones that will care if you have one and they will know the difference and will laugh at you.

It is your own personal choice, but its no different than these kids who put a GT-R badge on their Civic, or drive a "Camaro GT", or Hummer H2 ()

Be happy with what you have. My 68 Cutlass is a Cutlass Supreme...not a 442...not a W31. I don't put those badges on it for this very reason...its cool because its cool...not because of a badge.

Truth be told, those who don't know, don't know what a Rubicon is.

Those that do would appreciate the humor seeing one on a YJ.

Now, a TJ or JK sporting a fake Rubi sticker would be dumb.

I say go for it. Just like we would smile at a Commando sticker on a TJ...

The fact that it is a YJ makes it OK in my book!

In fact, I have a TJ Sahara with no tire cover, and I hate the TJ Sahara tire cover, but I would LOVE to find a good condition YJ Sahara cover...I like those a lot.

welcome to the forum. in my opinion it would look silly. i would use the space for something else if you really want to add stickers.
