If you are considering one, just get it. You wouldn't be as happy with a lesser model.

What kind of terrain are you looking to play in? Keep in mind that the Rubicon is geared differently for rock crawling. If you play on mild hills with big tires you're gonna find the motor in 4 high will be working away while climbing. If you are in 4 low you will have no trouble climbing but she will be screaming due to the lower gears once you start to level out or go down hill. She WILL take you places you never thought you would be able to go though.

i dont think the question is if you should get a rubicon as much as it is why not get a rubicon... i wish i had one but we cant all be so special
