Hello all. I am checking in from the desert of west Texas/Mexico/New Mexico border. I am medically retired after +20 years in law enforcement. I figure after being a workaholic for the Army, several local agencies and then back into the Department of the Army it's time for me to have some fun (not that I didn't enjoy my job). I spent the majority of my career working in traffic enforcement, DWI enforcement, drug interdiction, traffic accident investigations and reconstructions, K-9 and tactical operations. I picked my username because that's where I started in this wild trip I call life.
I am in the process of determining compensation for my injuries obtained in the line of duty. I do not have a Wrangler yet but will as soon as my settlement is reached.
I'm joining up to get access to the off road sport. My wife and I have talked and I believe she is looking forward to having some fun with me. We haven't had any since my injuries in July 2010.
I am looking for any information to make life easier for a disabled Jeeper. I have limited mobility from a back injury and nerve damage. After doing a little online browsing I believe that my very first mod will be finding custom seating. I believe that having a seat with memory foam bolstering the lumbar region and a 5 point harness will keep my back immobilized and I can get out into the great outdoors again. Any info you can provide about this would be greatly appreciated. I'm not in a wheel chair at this time, I am fighting tooth and nail, but I might be fairly soon. I don't know how I'll be able to off road with one but I'm going to do what I can.
That's a little about me. I hope to learn a lot and contribute when I can. Let me know if I can assist with your law enforcement questions, I'll be keeping my certification, training up to date and have numerous resources to find answers if I don't immediately know them.
You won't offend me if you call me a PIG... I do have "Pride, Integrity & Guts"!
