Skier turned Guru of Information

Hello Jeep WORLD!

I just recently graduated from University and landed a full time gig in Cincinnati, OH. I've been ready to dump my Infiniti I35 and land myself a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Being nowhere near familiar with Jeeps besides always wanting one, I've been lurking sites the best 3-4 months reading as much as possible to inform myself. I've found at least two from dealers that I have deemed in my price range and features I want.
  1. Hard Top
  2. Black/Green/Blue/Silver/Tan
  3. Foot Rails
  4. 4 Door

Both are used JKU 2008 and JKU 2010 Sahara Editions. One is black and one is green. The are both within the 42,000-52,000 mile range. I am just hoping to gain some information when visiting the dealerships and looking at these Jeeps for anything I need to look at when preparing to purchase my first Jeep!

I've never purchased a car on my own and any insight/lime light would be wonderful as you guys really seem like a family/tight knit group here.

Welcome to the forum! If you post in the JK (model type for those year Jeep's) forum you may get more detailed responses.

When buying a used vehicle like a Wrangler definitely make sure you really inspect it or make sure to take someone with you who can give it a good look over/test drive. Many have not seen any heavier duty than the road to the mall-but for the ones that have been appropriately loved offroad (and you can put lipstick on it so don't let lack of obvious scratches fool you) tread a bit more carefully.

Although my two cents is given the price point I would expect with a 2010 with under 50K you are almost in the neighborhood that if you can cut a really good deal it may be worth it to investigate going new.

At any rate, good luck and when you make your final decision, we expect the appropriate pictures!

Absolutely! That's have the fun, sharing your progress! Being a recent grad it's not the absolutely best idea. Just depends, maybe worth going to look at the local Jeep Dealership.

Bravo Mates! Thanks for the warm welcome!

On the hunt! Found 2 2012 Sahara's Unlimited I've grown quite found of. One is more mall status then the other. Leather or Cloth. Navigation System or Not. Both are Black with Matched Hardtop. Thanks for the warm welcome mates! If anyone is in the Cincinnati/Tri-State Area plan on doing a few camping trips to Brookville Lake, IN this Summer. Have some property near lake!

Any Explanation or Treadlightly.org guys?! Never heard of it before you guys mentioned it!
