Soon to be owner 2012 JKU Rubi/So Cal (Orange County)

Hi everyone,

Just dropping a line to say hello. I'm in the process of buying my first Jeep. I've been to some dealerships to view the 2011 Rubi's but I recently discovered these forums and figured that the 2012 were coming out soon. I've read these boards quite a bit in the last few days so I'd like to thank everyone for all the useful information.

I'd like to purchase a 2012 JKU Rubi however I have not yet placed an order. I'm interested in one of the greens or the tan. Since the tan is only being offered for a certain time period. Should I go order my new Jeep or do you think that they may have a Tan in the show room soon. Maybe I should ask when do you think the dealerships will receive their inventory other then pre-orders?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I too am new to all this and we just ordered a Tan Unlimited Sahara. I have read this thread from beginning to end and learned a lot. That is the only way I found out about Tread Lightly. I think we are the first ones to ever use it at the dealership because they had no idea what we were talking about.

We went through the whole process of looking at used first, then looking at the 11's and then deciding on waiting for the 12's. We wanted a green or tan so good choice in colors!

I think if you want the green or tan I would order now since they are only available for a month. I would say order it the way you want it instead of trying to find one exactly the way you want. Then you can sit and obsess about when your baby will be born and when you will get it. It will totally take over your life! Good luck.

Thanks for the reply ShotgunRed218. I'm going to go ahead and take a trip down to the dealership and ask about the ordering process. Color has been the hardest part so far for me

Yeah, color was the hardest part for us. It seriously took us awhile to decide. But then I thought, ANY color would look great because Jeeps are just so flippin cool!
I just read on the 2012 that Milous posted you can no longer order tan and green today. Hopefully you can get your order in.

It's true, I just returned from the dealership and I was not able to order any green or the tan.

It's okay though, I'm still getting myself a JK, just not in the limited green or tan.

I'm going to think about a new color and debate on the body color flares as well as the body color 3-piece hard top since I may replace the stock flares.

Bummer, sorry to hear that. I'm sure you will find one you like just as well. I don't think a Jeep can ever look bad in any color.
