still shopping...

so i've been checking on CL and at the dealer and i've driven a few wranglers owned by friends, but never an automatic transmission. now i've only ever owned a manual and i like driving them but given how tightly sprung most the clutch in most jeeps are i was considering an automatic... is this blasphemous?

Nope.

Lotta converts on WF. However, I'm not one of em.

I will say that many folks consider the new auto trans to be the high point of the '12, even moreso than the Pentastar.

Jeep's a Jeep, dawg.

Welcome!

I bought a 2012 sport s with an auto, couldn't be happier. Go with what you feel is best, not what someone else thinks is best.

Welcome from a manual driver! The days of heavy clutch return springs are long gone for the newer Wranglers. Nowadays it's hydraulic clutches! My little woman (all of 5'3" and weighs less than one of my legs) has no issues operating the clutch! Besides, as stated earlier...
