Stock Sucks

Hey
Just got wifey a 09 Wrangler & I want to do a few things to it.
So I'm here to see what works - what doesn't - & where to find the deals.
Looking forward to doing some upgrades to this thing.
We took it to BC this last weekend to a wedding & I'm pretty impressed with it so far.

I'll post some pic's of her JEEP once we start the upgrades. In the mean time here's a couple others.

I think you should paint it like this, which will make you super popular around Alberta.

My guess is many Jeep owners would say something like not planning ahead is the biggest thing to avoid. Installing a lift for 33" tires and then deciding you need 38's. That sort of thing.

On the other hand, they might also say "heck, I spent all that money figuring it out, why shouldn't you."

Or they might be like me, and really want your almost new 33" tires. Perfect for the little Samurai.

Lots of neat stuff to do with a JK. Have fun!

If it is wifies jeep make sure she's okay with what your doing, before you do it. like putting a 4" lift with over sized tires and all she wants is windshield lights.

Thanks guys,

There sure is allot of good info on here, and good debates of what works best. Being new to the Jeep scene, it is quickly becoming apparent that there is a long and illustrious history to these units.

We live out of town, and I have aften seen groups of Jeeps idleing up the road to go and play in the hills. These groups never seem to be towing anybody on their way out. Where as I have often seen other brands coming out on the hook. That speaks volumes to me.

Another observation, on our road trip last weekend, it seemed that 90% plus of the Jeeps we pasted, waved. Wife & I laughed about it and thought, "it must be a Jeep thing", and we are doing the Jeep wave now too.

Yea Norm. Start your Jeep savings fund right now. It's endless what you can do to them. I've owned my last one for 11 years, and I'm still spending money on it.

There are only 2 catalogues that come into this house, Quadratec and Victoria's Secret. Your wife should enjoy both but will probably spend more time looking through quadratec. It's the wish book for Jeep lovers

Welcome!

Glad to have you along for the ride. Let me say up front that your wife will never leave you because of the gift of the Jeep. Nothing says "I love you" like a new Wrangler for her in the driveway. Just know she'll probably never really want you to drive it and, if she does, she will only do it reluctantly. But, she is more likely to be perpetually happy now compared to before the purchase and she'll remember what you did. But, know you're going to have to get your own at some point. That's why we're a two Jeep family.

WElcome Koby. Nice toys. What I love about the Jeep Wave is when somebody riding with me sees the waving going on and thinks we all know each other. I just tell them when they get one, they'll figure it out.
