Yea a newbie here, Originaly from PA went Army 17 yrs ago and I'm now stationed in Missouri (Fort Leonard Wood). After seeing rockcrawling at Johnson Valley CA (stationed FT Irwin at the time) we wanted to get Jeeps and then finally 2 years later (had to pay off a car first) we really got the jeep fever after buying an 89 YJ. The wife loved it and bought a black 00TJ sport/rag top, I loved it and sold the YJ to get a white 00TJ Sahara HT, My 16yr old Girl wants one now. My 4yr old son yells JeeK everytime he sees one on the road, the JeeP seen is a blast. We are going to a Saint Joe State Park in MO 2000 acres of ORV area fishing swimming etc the last weekend of June to teach the family some proper wheeling techniques, and watch peewee class quad races.
Welcome in brotha. I caught the jeep fever when I was 6 years old and went with my dad to pick up his brand new CJ-7 with all of the options (backseat, radio, all kinds of good stuff). We still have that jeep in the family after 22 years. And currently I am doing my best to tear apart my 99. It's great sickness to have.
I have just been moved to fort Leonard Wood also we should get together and do some wheeling i dont know any places around here but i am looking let me know if you would like to get together and find some places to wheel.

Welcome, Larry, to the insanity! There's nothing like a Wrangler! BTW, my youngest son did his basic and AIT at Fort Leonard Wood in 2002. He's currently in North Carolina and leaves for San Antonio in two weeks to be trained for a new MOS - combat medic. He's going to be making his second trip to the sand box next year. Again, welcome, and thanks for your service to our country.
