Texas Jeep NooB

Hey fellas,
I'm a new owner of an 07 Wrangler Sierra 2 door 4x4. It has more options in/on it than I'd like. I've already removed the 1800watt amp and 2 6" Punch subs/box that were in the trunk. It has aftermarket Borla exhaust, cold air intake, and chrome tube steps. The doors have power windows/locks along with the factory GPS/DVD system. I'm the kind of guy that thinks thereís more reliability in simplicity, but the price (16k w/ 26,000mi) was right.

After 3wks of driving it I hear a squeak from the right rear tire. I think itís a loose caliper. The darn thing has MOTO METAL rims and the jack kit wonít fit in the lug well.....Kind of glad I found this out before getting a flat! Thatís the only trouble so far.

This is a big step for me going from a VW Jetta to this. Iím probably not going to try the rock-crawler thing, but Iíd say itís already been a full change in lifestyle!

I expect to be on this forum often, and Iíll try not to ask too many goofy questions without searching first.

Thanks,
Jesse

Northern Virginia Jeep NooB!!

Greetings to All !!!

I just purchased a 2004 Jeep Wrangler X on June 6th!!! I live in Stafford, VA and work at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. I have wanted a Wrangler for several years, just not as my only vehicle. This "Jeep Wave" tradition is also shared by the "Corvette" crowd!! I traded my Vette in for a CUV last month, but I missed the open air feel so I bought my Wrangler X!!!!

Looking forward to hanging out with all you folks on-line and maybe even meeting up at events sometimes. Are there any in the Fredericksburg/NVA area? Thanks!!!

Dave

Hey Tex,

I like those rims, any idea what kind they are? The jeep looks great, glad you're enjoying the change in lifestyle.
