Thinking about buying a wrangler

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and the jeep world. All my life I have driven subarus. I currently have an 06 Impreza with 75k miles on the odometer. For the last few years I have been wanting to get a wrangler. I absolutley love wranglers and would love to own one someday. I have a few questions though. I am used to 4 cylinders with all wheel drive and great gas mileage....I know you dont get a jeep for great mileage so I am fully prepared to fill up with gas more often as I do a lot of driving.

How is the reliabilty?
Any good models to get?
What kinda mileage do you average?
Are they expensive to maintain?
Easy to work on?

Sorry for the questions.....I am a newbie to anything jeep related.

Any good models to get? Depends on how much you want to spend. I'm partial to the TJ (of course)
What kinda mileage do you average? 14ish downhill with the wind behind me
Are they expensive to maintain? Easy to work on and parts everywhere. The expense isn't in the maintenance, it's in the mods.
Easy to work on? The older the easier, but basically yes, they are pretty basic and there is tons of info.

Not a problem, that's why we are here.

Welcome to the forum. I can't answer some of your questions, but I can say, I just bought my first Jeep three weeks ago after looking for two years and I love it. I was very picky in what options, condition and pricing I wanted in a Jeep, which was it had to have a 6 cylinder, cold a/c, very clean interior, clean body without dents or rust, had to be 2000 or newer model with less than 80,000 miles for under $10,000. Now you know why it took me two years to find the right one for me. I did not care about the gas mileage or how fast it would run. So keep looking there are great Jeep deals out there if you look long enough.
