Whats up guys?
New to the site, been coming here for technical advice for awhile but am a veteran Jeeper from the Birmingham/Royal Oak area.
been through 3 jeeps since I was 16
1st: 96 teal XJ 4.0, auto 98K. I would still have this Jeep today had it not been for some absentminded 16 y/o high schooler who rear ended me doing 40 while texting. needless to say she totaled my Cherokee...
2nd: white 94 YJ 2.5L 5 speed. This thing was a tank but an absolute piece when I picked it up. cracked windshield, rusted out windshield frame, rust in the corners, rusted fenders, odometer had gone out at 128,848, burned oil, top was torn to shreds. did as much as I could to her on a high school/college budget. new frame, shackles, warrior armor on the bottom of the tub to cover the rust, new roll bar padding, new top etc. Nursed her back to health and she rewarded me with 5 great years. Sold her to another Jeep lover who had plans to completely restore it and keep it alive. Real sad to see her go.
3rd/current: Now, the fun begins. Finished school and have a budget to work with. Found myself an '03 Inca Gold Rubicon, 4.0 5 speed. Super rare, super sexy color with 82k on her. threw on a 4in teraflex suspension lift, 1.25 body lift, re geared to 4.88, 35in goodyear Wrangler MTRs warn 9,000lb winch. This thing is bad ass and I plan on keeping this one for a long time. Cant get this thing stuck for the life of me.
just wanted to say whats good, and Im happy to finally join a community of fellow nutjobs who love Jeeps as much as I do.
