Wanting to come back to the fold...

Hello,

I owned a Wrangler years ago (can't remember the year, I want to say '87, last year of the square headlights) that I drove over every off-road trail I could find. When I got married and had my first kid, I realized it had to go, and moved to a Cherokee. As the family grew I moved to other makes, but I always missed the Wrangler.

Now my kids are getting older and I am looking at buying a new Rubicon 4 door. Hope to learn from all here, especially what options I should get or steer aways from (kind of leaning towards fully loaded, with manual transmission).

87 was the first year of the YJ (square lights) 95 was the last. CJ was before them.

Welcome to the forum bud. Good luck on the hunt and be sure to post pictures when you get your new beast.

Now I remember, I bought it the first year of the square lights, and sold it in 96 when my first kid was born.

I like the round lights better.

But that 4.0L engine was nice.
