we went ahead and got our first Jeep Wrangler

they dealership called and went down to $14,200 (considering they've been trying to get it sold, and came down from $19,200)

it's a Wrangler 2006 SE, i know it's only the 4 banger/6 speed, but for our first one i don't think we can go wrong with only 7600 miles on it

it's white with the black soft top, got the speakers in the installed boxes bolted to the upper roll bar, CD player, AC...factory wheels but has 31x10.50R15 all the way around (factory size spare..gotta take care of that!)

I don't think we did too bad, since Kelly puts the trade value at a lil over 15k and we paid a lil over 14k!

we're excited..i got the manual out and monkeyed with the top and got it down and we loaded up the daughter and went for an hour drive around town....

wife says she WILL NOW learn to drive a 6 speed and I might not get to drive it alot!....hmmph:chair:

If you are happy with the Jeep and the amount you paid for it, then it is a great deal. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Now go out and enjoy it!

i'll get pics up as soon as the sun comes out a bit more...had our first rain shower yesterday with the top down..but the Wrangler fits in the garage cherry!

We're in Wichita Falls, north of DFW, and we found a local 4x4 club up here that does outings and stuff so this should be cool...

my wife said last night, we've been making practical purchases with previous vehicles, the house, now we just need to have some fun!

taking her out Sunday to the local stadium to let her practice her shifting LOL

As my profile shows I'm a bit farther south. I have been up that way. My mom grew up in Electra. Small place, blink 1 and half times and you can miss it.

I think local clubs are are good. I'm hooked up with a bunch here on the NW side of town. Good mix of folks. Good mix of experience to help ya have fun quickly.

Take care and most definitely...have fun.
