Unhappy Well a car accident brought me here...

Well a few days ago i was driving home from work. I was in my cherokee making a left turn at an intersection when a guy in a minivan blew a red light going about 50mph and tboned me. He rolled me into a center divider totaling both our cars. I only had my jeep for about 2 months and i originally wanted to buy a wrangler, so since I should be getting about 3,000 from the insurance company for a new car i really want to try and buy a wrangler now.

Here's some pics of my xj and the damage

The minivan that hit me

Welcome to WF. I hope you got yourself checked out at a doctor and that you're okay. Good luck on finding your Wrangler.

^ Indeed. Stuff may not hurt now, but will later on.

Good luck on the Wrangler hunt.

Woah dejavu... Were you a member of the Cherokee Forum before? When I was a member I remember seeing a post about a minivan hitting a white Cherokee. This is weird

Welcome to the forum! Glad you didn't get hurt, other than your feelings! That looked like a nice Cherokee. Good luck on the Wrangler!

Very true, his minivan was in much worst shape. The only thing is that since he had me up on my side for a little he actually smashed up my exhaust and my skid plates underneath.

Thanks for the nice welcome from all you guys and i hope i can find a nice wrangler soon.

I'm impressed in how well your Cherokee held up to a 50mph Tbone! What year of Jeep are you looking for?

That's exactly what one of the passengers of the other car said. I'm looking to get a tj that's preferably an inline 6. If it's a straight 4 i might take the engine from my xj and swap it out. BUT i have seen some pretty nice yjs.

This one's not too bad Black YJl

Welcome to the forum!

Don't expect a TJ to handle that same collision nearly as well as your Xj though.

Sometimes you can buy out the totalled car.. If it does have any value.. you may consider it, even if it's just parts.

Yea that's what i'm planning. I have a buddy who wants to buy my transmission for 400$ and everything on my xj was clean so a lot could be sold for parts.

I'm glad you guys are so friendly here haha i use to have a 300zx and the guys on those forums were just jerks
