whats up jeep world?

hey just wanted to say whats up! i picked up a 95 yj 4-cyl wrangler about 4-5 months ago as a secondary driver and i must say it is very fun to drive. i bought it to keep my 2010 camaro nice and safe in the garage during rainy days/winter season. i got it off of a kid on craigslist..all stock with originial engine and only 108,500 when i got it.

now im looking into putting some off road equipment on it....i have been browsing around the forums but havent found answers to all my questions so i figured i will post them up for you guys to help me out if you want. totally new to wranglers but always wanted one just beacuse when i think of a jeep wrangler i think TANK, very strong, very dependable and very tough. so i have no clue on whats good and whats not as far as off-road equipment goes...but i know everything to know about camaros hahah.

so...my questions are..

4" suspension lift too much? will i need to mess around with other stuff underneath or just put the kit on?
good quality, affordable brand name?
tire size? (right now i have goodyear wrangler rt/s 215) - used for road and offroad-
what does 31",32",33" etc. mean?

thanks in advance for the help!

i will post some pictures up of my yj later..

Welcome -

for YJ lift ideas and reviews read this post:
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f8/yj-l...ews-25156.html

I think that this should help you get started.

By the way, I think that this website helped me a ton with understanding Tires/Wheels/Lifts etc.

Hope this helps

Welcome to the forum. I see by your post that you have been bitten by the offroad bug. Be careful, he will crawl into your pocket and eat all your money. The bad thing is that you will enjoy every minute of it.

Welcome!
31, 32, and 33 are the size of the tires. With a 4 inch lift, most people go with 33 inch tires. But it's all about what you want, and you can mix things up. It is YOUR Jeep
