Work to do...

Just joined WF & got a '92 YJ yesterday. It's going to be a project and some fun (I hope). 106k miles with a 2.5 5 speed - nothing fancy. Here are some pics and while my budget's pretty small right now, I'm open to ideas and suggestions for it. It will just be a toy, but I'm in Midland Texas with no climbing really possible. Thanks for having me here - I'm sure I'll be asking questions soon enough.

is this going to be primarily a mudding jeep or both on and off road? what are your plans for it?

Probably more on road than off. Unfortunately, not much mudding possibilities here.

1st thing that really sticks out to me is those wheel. and maybe a paint job, if you have the money for that.

also that top looks a little rough, but maybe thats just me.

and maybe new front and back bumps? unless you like the ones on there

Yeah - the red paint will actually polish up pretty well (I've done a couple of small spots to check). And the wheels will be the first to go. The top needs restitching on the drivers side - hopefully it will be functional after that.

Good suggestions - appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum WhyJ. Looks like you have found yourself a great starter. Now you can make it into anything you want. Take your time and do it right. There are a lot of things that you can do yourself on the cheap. If you have any questions, just post them up here. As you can see already, the folks around here are always ready to throw their $.02 in.
