wranger X or wrangler Sport??

I was this close to buying a rubicon, but I snoozod and lost it .

I'm now choosing beteen a
2006 Wrangler X Engine 4.0L I-6cyl Transmission Manual Ext. Color Jeep Green Metallic ClearcoatInt. Color Khaki Mileage 30,699 Wheelbase: 93 Inches or a

2006 Sport (golden eagle) Mileage: 33,649 Miles, Engine: 4.0L I6,
Drivetrain: 4X4, Doors: 2, Wheelbase: 93 Inches

The sport is 2K less than the X, the X has 1/2 doors.

I'd sure appreciate advise on this. I've been going around on wheter or not to even get a jeep for months.. fnally decided and lost the one I really wanted... hoping that doen't happen again.

Thank you!

If it's got two axles and a removable top you can't go wrong with any 6-cyl Wrangler.

Hold out for a Rubicon if that's what you really want . . . otherwise you'll only be kicking yourself afterwards when you see a good deal on a Rubi a couple of weeks after your purchase. As far as the two options listed, the Sport sounds like a better deal . . . you might get lucky and it could have a D44 in the rear . . . you'll just have to get that goofy looking eagle off the hood and rattle can the wheels to cover up that nasty gold color. What in the hell are the guys at Crysler smoking when they come up with this crap . . . who wants a big eagle on the hood of their Jeep or gold wheels . . . I'd actually prefer the pooping tiki on the Islander over that crap!

The previous owners did me the favor of removing the eagle already I can live w/ the tires, but the eagle was over the top.

Unless you don't ever plan to do much offroading or plan to go extreme where you'd replace the axles, transfer case, etc . . . then you should really hold out for the Rubi. The Rubicon is such a great platform to start with and has so many advantages over a Sport or X if you do plan to wheel it, it's really worth spending the extra time and money to go that route up front vs. trying to turn your Sport or X into something as capable as a Rubi after the fact.

Im confused, shouldnt the Golden Eagle cost more than the X? I have a Golden Eagle, and it is a Sport version with some extras. The Dana 44, some extra speakers, gold wheels, stitched seats etc. I would think that with similar miles, the GE would be worth more. Out of curiousity, what was the cost of both? Heres a pic of mine:
