Lightbulb wyo nemb

hey guys im pretty new to jeeps and so far i'd rather chuck this thing off a cliff and watch it burn for how many problems with this 97 wrangler with the 2.5, but since I do need assistance and this forum looked pretty good. Right now im in the process of rebuilding the engine i made the mistake of doin it this way instead of just buying a reman cause when the engine blew last yr the fourth piston exploded and cracked the cylinder wall got it all fixed put back in the jeep but now i have no compression on the #1 cylinder, it has spark fuel but wont fire i dont know what the other cylinders read cause i cant check anything else until I have an extra set of hands tomorrow, I'm thinking its the timing some how but if anyone has any good ideas pm plz this is my closest vehicle to running and need it working here soon thanks

I'm no expert but it sounds like a gasket or ring problem to me but I'd recommend posting your questions here:
TJ Jeep Wrangler Forum - Jeep Wrangler Forum
or here:
Builders Corner - Jeep Wrangler Forum
We have some pretty smart people here and I think you'll get more responses.

In the mean time . . .

Cool

figured out what it was had to use some air fittings an a piece off my compression tester to do this but the exhaust port valve was bent on the first cylinder. I'm guessing when i did the valve cleaning they those two got swapped around. If anyone want/needs pics of the tool i can throw them up on here
