There are trails on every island BUT most rental insurance does not cover it AT ALL,

Polihale State Park has some beach trails, plus it's a cool beach! Waimea State Park is a must see as well. Follow Kokee rd.(550). Beautifull scenery!

I just got back from the big Island, where we rented a JKU. Lots of people told me the wreckers really put the screws to tourists when they get into a jam on the islands. Have fun but be careful. Also, as mentioned above rental insurance will cover no wheeling damage.

Loop road in Wailua is pretty mild. Lots of mud but nothing major as long as you stay on the main trail. I used to take my stock JK up there all the time. I see lots rental jeeps and one time i saw a rental mustang make it pretty far.

It's nice and cool up there with some nice places to swim.
