The basket is high quality and like mentioned the weight difference would be very minimal.

Here are some more pictures showing the mounting points and underside.

My buddy just ordered one after seeing mine.

BTW, what is the weight that you can put on the basket? I'm thinking of about 50lbs?

Good and bad

just installed my Ace cargo basket. it looks great. but why did they not grind flat the welds on the top corners of the basket? i worked at a structural steel company many years ago and we'd grind all visible weld seams like that. but, it still looks great.

A lot!! Maybe I installed wrong but there are eight bolts and two bars. Seems as if the cage bounces up and down on the rails.

Mine rattled from the basket bouncing up and down and hitting the support bars near the center. I put some paracord around the center section of the bars and the rattling is gone. Could have used anything thin really.

I have a 4 dr and am very interested. I'd want one to just leave it in permanently. Few things...
1. Would be nice to have some hooks for bungee tie downs. Or even a cargo net over it
2. Can it be fitted so there is little space between the rack and the rear seat and the rack and the sides so someone can't grab things that are stored below? (I think this is what WhiskeyMike was asking.
3. Can this be placed below the hard top? So when I want to take the hard top on and off, I don't have to take this out first, then the hard top and then put this back on. I'd prefer if this went first and then the hard top. Thoughts?

Awesome product and am eager to find out the cost and when it will go into production!

1. the outer frame can be used to hook bungee cords to
2. the size of the production basket is as pictured.
3. If you install it between the top and the jeep, you will have a gap between of about 3/8 of an inch. It is not recommended to install like this. The basket is available on our website and there is an installation video as well.

How much clearance is there under this cargo basket? Curious if I can still fit a cooler underneath.

It's about 16.5 to 17 inches to the bar underneath. The 1/2inch difference is where the bolts come down.

We have two of the racks and love them. One sore point is the sliding nuts that come stock with the jeep for the hard top to bolt into, as they move forward and back about half an inch. So when putting the bolts down through the rack, hardtop, into body nuts, they never line up and I spend about 15 mins getting those 4 bolts threaded in.

One tip... Place a screwdriver down through all three, get them aligned as close as possible.

Has anyone found a better solution?

Any chance of getting the Black Friday deal?? Lol I'm planning on getting this basket after looking at many set ups. The shipping cost put it over my JK monthly spending budget. Can't wait to order it.
