All PMs answered. We are getting a lot of Gobi inquiries, probably tax returns and spring just around the corner. Lead time is currently ~5 weeks but I think that's about to go up.

Happened to see a black rubi unlimited on NCIS LA with a gobi stealth rack. Looked pretty sweet. Lots of comments on mine. Love it!

Yes, there is enough space to push them up and slide them out sideways under the rack. Designed with that in mind.

Forum discounts off gobi up to 7% if you order before April. PM me.

Do the math, 6 weeks to your door plus or minus a week. Order one in late March/early April and you get in just about in the 1st week of May.

I will not over promise on gobi delivery dates, EVER, think about the lead time if you are on the fence.

My competitors all say 3-4 weeks, humbly they are wrong, I try to set the right expectation. Think 6 weeks and it will happen. Sometimes they do ship in 4 weeks but having been a gobi vendor for over a year now, I know them, I wheel with the owners, they average 5-6 weeks (before they ship).

Hi Alec
Thinking of pulling the trigger on your gobi rack. Thinking of celebrating tax day by spoiling my jeep. Any chance I can still save a buck on my order?
Thanks for your time.

Custom Colors

This customer ordered his rack with a custom Anthracite Metallic powdercoat to match his custom bumpers, rock rails and wheels.

It looks sharp!

If you chose colors from this link Cardinal Paint: Products and stay away from anything requiring a clear coat we can custom color your rack for free.

The customer's rig above was more expensive because his color had to be matched with another brand of paint but obviously we can color match to just about anything.

Update on the GOBI Rugged Ridge Snorkel bracket.

Here are some pics of the prototype. This unit is shipping to a test customer (Craig) this week because we did all the R&D without installing the entire kit. Paul at GOBI has a JK but it's a 2012 so he had to work with just the top part.

Assuming the prototype is approved I'll order a bunch and start shipping in about 3 weeks. The idea was to make it easy for customers to remove the snorkel top since a lot of folks only use the top part when wheeling.

So this is pretty neat. A customer of ours made this GOBI install video and also included some info on moving the OE sat antenna if you have reception problems. He has allowed us to share, thanks Chad!!

I put the Gobi Stealth on my Jeep back in October 2012. Love the look. Anyone found a good solution for a summer top that works well with the rack, protects from rain, and is easy to put up and down?

Ordered a 10A Anniversary Rubicon Unlimited. Got the go ahead on ordering a Gobi Stealth. Does EAD still custom paint the racks as posted last year. I would like to match the bumpers. Looking at Quick Release, Dual Ladders and Upper Isolators.

Yes we do. The colors available at no additional cost are here Cardinal Paint: Products. Avoid interior colors and colors requiring a top coat. We can handle the top coat (for UV protection) but it tends to make the racks look too shiny.

We can handle colors from other paint manufacturers but the cost for that is high running $400 and up.

If you need a physical sample card send me an email at alec@eadoffroad.com or PM and I can get them sent out to you.

Looks good. Too bad I will (after my lift/tires next week) not be able to fit the Jeep in the garage if I get this. By default, garages should be higher. The days of low-slung cars are over.

Similar dilemma here although I already have the Gobi rack installed. It's a great look and would be even better with 35s and a lift.

I've seen JKs with 35s and a 2" lift with a GOBI fit into a garage. The stealth adds 6" to the height. I always tell customers, stick a 6" box on the roof and drive in the garage. If it's still on the Jeep your good to go, if not, don't drive the Jeep in the garage with the rack installed

Yeah, it will probably not be that close. My lift will net me 3.5 in front and 2.5 at the back, so chances are that it will not fit. I'll measure it a few weeks after my lift goes on and all settles down.

Could you PM me details on the cost of a Gobi Stealth rack to 10704? Was thinking of putting a 50" led light bar on it like in one of the earlier pics here so trying to get it all figured out. Thanks!
