EAD Offroad - GOBI Jeep JK Roof Rack Systems

EAD Offroad is proud to represent GOBI roof racks and accessories made in the USA. GOBI leaves no stone unturned when developing roof racks and accessories which blend effortlessly with high end off road vehicles and their owners. EAD Offroad offers the complete line of Jeep JK GOBI products.

The Gobi Jeep JK roof rack throws tradition to the wind and has reshaped the idea of roof rack design and construction. The Gobi JK rack flows to the lines of the vehicle the automaker intended. The tough appearance goes hand in hand with its ability to stand strong with 800 lbs. static load capacity for roof top tents and their occupants and 300 lbs. driving load capacity for safe off and on road handling.
  • The 1” over 1 ¼” heavy gauge tubing surrounds 16.26 sq. ft. (1.51m2) of accessible and traversable cargo space by the available 250 lbs. capacity bolt on ladder.
  • Black powder coated with an anti-rust undercoat providing years of off and on road utility.
  • Comes standard with built in cross bars compatible with all Yakima and Thule ski, bike, cargo box and you name it attachments.
  • Included:
    • Gobi Roof Rack.
    • Gobi Recon Light Bar - Ranger or Stealth.
    • Gobi Wind Deflector.
    • Mounting brackets, stainless and Grade 8 hardware and easy to follow instructions.
    • Free GOBI Ladder - This is a promotion while supplies last
    • Free shipping to the lower 48

Rack Style Ranger or Stealth:
All GOBI JK racks are comprised of two main parts. The rack cargo holding area is made for a 2-door or 4-door JK, other than the length this part is the same for all JK racks. The difference between the JK Ranger and Stealth Racks comes down to the choice of GOBI Recon light bar. Both of these GOBI off road light mounting platforms project forward of the windshield preventing high intensity light glare from bouncing off the windshield blinding the driver during nighttime outings.

Equipped with a Ranger Recon Light Bar, the Ranger rack accommodates larger off-road lights. The overall height of a vehicle equipped with OEM tires and no lift is 79.9". The 4 place Ranger light bar accommodates 8" round or 7" x 5" rectangular off-road lights.

Equipped with a Stealth Recon Light Bar, the Stealth rack accommodates smaller lower profile lights providing a lower overall rack profile. The light bar is prefect for Rigid Industries SR and E series LED bars or PIAA 2100 series off-road lights. The overall height of a vehicle equipped with OEM tires and no lift is 78". The 4 place Stealth light bar accommodates 2.5" x 6" rectangular off-road lights. Custom racks can be ordered to fit 20" - 40" LED lights!

Options:
GOBI racks are highly customizable. Chose from the available styles, options and accessories for a rack that meets your unique requirements.

GOBI Jeep JK Roof Rack "Quick Release". The Gobi Jeep JK Quick Release is designed to provide tool free release of the Gobi Jeep JK roof rack from the Gobi JK light bar in less than 2 minutes for easy soft top removal or retraction.

The Gobi Jeep JK ladder bolts on to the rear of the Gobi roof rack and is designed to tilt back with the rack for soft top retraction. Now you can climb up to your roof rack for easier cargo loading with the use of the 250 lbs capacity ladder. Currently ladders are included for free with rack purchases. Ladders are available for the passenger or driver side. The ladder on the left of the second image shows how the 2011+ ladders had to be refactored to accommodate larger hard top rear window.

GOBI Jeep JK Sun Roof Insert. The Gobi Jeep JK Sun roof insert is designed to attach seamlessly over your sun roof for an additional 10.4 sq.ft. (.97m2) of cargo space. With a 150 lbs. ( 68.04kg) load limit it will come in handy with a full complement of passengers.

GOBI Jeep JK Ax/Shovel Attachment. The Gobi Jeep JK Axe/Shovel "lockable" attachment is designed to fit snug against the side of the Gobi roof rack placing the tools below the level of the upper sides of the rack.

GOBI Jeep JK High Lift Attachment. The Gobi JK High Lift Jack "lockable" attachment is designed to fit snug against the side of the Gobi Ranger roof rack placing the Jack below the level of the upper sides of the rack.

EAD Offroad has been involved with Gobi since 2003 when they developed their first line of SUV racks and we are one of the closest Gobi dealers to the manufacturer.

The EAD Offroad Gobi Advantage, to name just a few.
  • We can get you light bars customized for LED lights such as Rigid Industries at no additional cost. We often create bundle discounts when orders include multiple vendor items.
  • We can get you racks and ladders made in whatever color powder coat you prefer at no additional cost.
  • Shipping is always free on all GOBI orders shipped to the lower 48.
  • We can also ship to just about anywhere else on the planet (contact us for pricing).
  • We can arrange free local installation in Denver, Colorado on rack orders plus we will take $100 off your total.
  • Current promotions include a free ladder or attachment with any rack order.
  • Price matching. EAD Offroad will meet any advertised price on any Gobi product.

We are here to help with any GOBI questions and look forward to hearing from you!

So this is pretty neat. A customer of ours made this GOBI install video and also included some info on moving the OE sat antenna if you have reception problems. He has allowed us to share, thanks Chad!!

Couple more racks went out last week and a couple more this week. I think 1 or 2 of them were from members here. It's kinda hard to remember forum handles vs. real names when they become orders.

Thanks JKO.

Gobi is running about 6 weeks still. PM for santa specials

Will I receive an email or notice when the rack ships? I ordered on 10/26. Just curious. Thanks.

I just answered your PM but then realized your rack should have shipped by now. I'll take responsibility for that, I check every week with Gobi for racks with certain status and missed yours because it was set to a partial shipped status. Totally my fault and so I'll send you a gift cert for my mistake and the delay.

The good news is that it will ship tomorrow and you will have it next week. You will be getting a phone call early next week from the freight company to arrange a delivery day/time that's convenient to you.

Sweet thanks - not like I need an excuse to spend more money! No worries.

About a year ago Gobi came out with an Gobi mounting adapter for a no drill AEV/Gobi installation. I know Paul (designer/owner) of Gobi has tweaked a couple of things with the way things mount so you may not actually need the adapter now.

I'll find out on the adapter requirement but the answer is yes.

OK so you need the adapter from Gobi for the AEV bumper and that will add a few $ but not many.

They are pretty easy to install, you need a helping hand, some basic hand tools and about 2 hours. The instructions Gobi send are detailed and you can call us or Gobi at any time with questions.

Gobi stealth

Got the easy part of the install done with a little help from my wife. Going to need some forum advice on the light install.

All done. Just need to install the lights. Did most of it solo. My 5'2" wife helped me with the top. It was not a given that we could get it done but ended up working just fine.

It's tax refund time, we are dealing. Get your GOBI rack ordered now so you have it before the camping season and can plan how to stack your gear.

Did I mention we are dealing, that means deep spring discounts.
