As long as it's a classic standard solenoid, not the style like in some newer Warn's the the answer is yes. Warn has a plug and play style that is specific to those.

Got my e10000 yesterday and installed it. The positive lead was a few inches short and the negative lead was rubbed through the insulation to bare wire. Also there is no way to mount the solenoid in any position but over the drum. No bracket apparently. Went to napa and bought new wires works good and looks good just disappointed in the hassle.

You can always install the box under the hood... a little more wiring, but cleaner look and I added a wireless remote.

I made a bracket to resemble the bars on the top of the winch and mounted mine here.

The cleaner look (not the Jeep lol ).... and no wires rubbing the grill either....

Just got off the phone with Chris. Great guy to work with, and very knowledgeable. I preordered a 9k w/steel (I have lots of access to extra steel cable if I need it, so I stuck with that, but synthetic is definitely my preference) and a snatch block all for $300. I have the materials for a weight bag and my military unit has an extra dust cover I can get from demolition and refurbish. The winch and block should be shipped about the 20th, so that gives me lots of time to fix the weld on my front bumper and get her prepped. Just in time for the nasty season, too

I asked about all the Engos and they're all out for the next two weeks. You can preorder for the next shipping cycle, but your card won't be charged until your item is shipped. So, for guys that like to work on a same-day-purchase budget cycle like me, don't forget to make a note of when and where that money will be pulled.

I'm pretty happy with the purchase so far, and I'll post up how I feel about the install when everything is done and settled.

Thanks,

You need a winch plate to mount a winch, unless your vehicle came from the factory with a winch. Some aftermarket bumpers have winch plates already installed, but you can just buy a winch plate for your stock bumper.

The front page shows $479, shipped. I'm not sure if the winches are sold with "package deal shipping", or if they're just free shipping. Either way, I got the exact deal listed a few posts ago (9k w/steel for $275) and there's no extra cost for shipping. I'm at 74019, btw. Just a few miles away. lol

I would rather support the American economy than buy one of the better built Chinese products.

Yes but the price difference is so large it can seem silly to people on a tighter budget. I mean Warn isn't even in the same time zone of prices. I would prefer to buy American but at this point in my life it's not justifiable.

So what your telling me is that buying foreign doesn't feed Americans.....

So the company that contracts the build doesn't make a profit. The person importing it does it for free? The dock workers show up at our nations ports out of the good of their hearts not expecting compensation. Then they load them up on trucks and these trucks drive themselves and then unload themselves. And then you expect me to believe that the company's that sell these products are non profit and the employees buy milk and bread with smiles and good looks? And then you believe that ups and FedEx don't get a cut for getting it to my door?

You are obviously completely ignorant of logistics and economics in general. Do tell me how many people does warn employ vs how many are feed everyday from their jobs in the import export business?

I'm senior management with an import and export firm and I employ lots of people. I may have an incite into reality on this one.

I just got off the phone with JeepAddOns. I had a horrible experience. It may have earned everyone else a bigger "discount", though, so my loss may be your gain. Let me explain:

I ordered an Engo 9k way back at the beginning of November. Only $275 with an extra $25 for an 8 Ton snatch block? Let's make it an even $300 and be on our way. Oh, there'll be a problem. The winch won't get shipped and to my door until about the 21st of November. Um, okay. It's a good deal, so I'll wait.

And wait. And wait. November 21st came and went. By December 1st, nothing. I tried calling and got nothing for about ten minutes. I'm in a hurry, so I get off the phone. Try again from another phone a couple days later. Nothing. Notice my bank has a cancel on the pre-authorized charge that I allowed. What the hell? Alright, guess I'll find some other winch.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I get a hit on a charge against my old bank card that had been canceled in January. I get online to figure out what happened. Turns out to be JeepAddOns. I've also got an invoice in my email. There's everything. I call my parents, where I use their physical address. Dad found the boxed winch sitting in a covered area to the side of the garage. Shippers put stuff their since my parents live out in the country. They weren't expecting a big box since I told them the order got canceled, so they didn't know to look. I don't even know how long it had been sitting there. It isn't even what I ordered.

So, here I am today, calling to return the winch. I tried yesterday, but I was too busy to wait longer than ten minutes. I call today with more time. Something happens and I get disconnected. Try again. Somebody answers and transfers me. Bob answers the phone. Bob is a nice guy and tries to sort everything out, obviously while on speaker phone. But crap went south real fast when the guy who answered for the transfer jumps into the background and starts doing Bob's work for him. He starts in about how it's my fault because I didn't call to cancel the order. He also says the difference in winch was a free upgrade that I shouldn't worry about. Didn't mention the missing snatch block, of course. he just kept talking over me and mentioning how he's looking at the phone records and can assure me that I didn't call about anything since I talked to Chris back in November. He assures me that I've never been on a hold. He's going on and on and on. I got upset at all the negative in your face b.s. and tell him I'm not doing anymore business with him. I tell him Bob was doing great until he pops in. I also mentioned that I'm going to post this on the different Jeep forums that I'm on. At that point he just speaks over me, as he already doing, and says, "Don't give him a return. Clear it out. He doesn't deserve it. Don't give him a refund. You go ahead and mention it on your forums. I'll just be on there tomorrow to give them a bigger discount. They can thank you for their discount."

Are you freaking kidding me? This is how you treat customers, JeepAddOns?

So, go ahead and enjoy whatever extra discount may or may not come your way. I've already got a very good Warn winch from one of the other Reservist guys I'm deploying to Afghanistan with this year. I'll easily sell this Engo winch for a discount to one of the firefighters I work with in my daily job. I'm on about half a dozen sites like this, and I'll spread my message to all. I'm also spreading the word to all my firefighter contacts (lots of 4X4 owners).

And, while writing this, my Chief Petty Officer, whom I called for advice, gave me some more options: I'm going to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as making a notice on our Reserve website. Lots of Navy SeaBees have 4X4s, too. Hell, I'll even spread the word with the Commander of the Reserve Center. I'll tell anybody and everybody I know to stay clear of JeepAddOns. Chris was a nice sales guy, as was Bob in customer service. But it just isn't worth the overall problems to deal with this. Never again.
