That does look nice.

This looks like what I need. I won't be using a winch with the regularity to justify a Warn unit. I think the price is right and these units appear to be reliable from what I've read.

I didn't read all 20 pages.. but a while back I swear I read someone requesting a Hawse fairlead for steel cable... Are these available yet with that arrangement instead of the roller fairlead?

Not from the factory. I've seen a couple of generic ones online for $50+. I have a Warn hawse fairlead that works with steel cable for $40.

My experience has been less than stellar so far... I've inquired three times now, and Chris I've sent you PM several days ago. The only response I have received so far was this, and he failed to follow through:

your order will be ready to ship out on 1/28, I will email you the tracking
numbers on that afternoon, thank you.

This thread needs more pics

Used the engo 9k 3 times yesterday at Redbird Indiana....so fun...& the winch saved my a$$ for sure. I still would have been down in that ravine without it.

Michael, I apologize. I did indeed miss your PM. I will see what I can find out when I get to the office today. If Rosa didn't follow up, she likely didn't receive a tracking number. I'll get you taken care of.

Shark_13, definitely need a great quality winch at Redbird!!! Awesome.

Jeepzjlover, agreed. I get asked to compare these to other winches on the market quite often and the difference is night as day.

I tried to mount my winch over the weekend and ran into an issue. The winch bolts up fine, but the solenoid will not fit with the supplied brackets. The leads coming out the back hit the grill. After quite a while of fighting it, I decided to remote mount the solenoid under the hood. I have a Promark Offroad raised winch mount (clone of the warn mount). I just have to come up with a mount and get the longer leads.

sounds to me like the mount has the holes too far back.

That is with the solenoid sitting about an inch forward on the factory mount it came with.

It only came with the brackets that mount right in the middle. I was going to drill a couple new holes into it, but I wanted to eventually move the solenoid under the hood anyway, this is just speeding that up.

I found a spot to mount the box fairly easily. I'll post pics once its done. I'm looking forward to having the winch operational. I did hook it up before bolting it on to make sure everything was kosher.

Got the box mounted. This was very simple and I was over thinking it up till now. I basically drilled an existing hole out bigger and drilled a new hole. No bracket was needed and it looks great.

Install does look good and that's the first TJ mount I've heard of that sits that close to the grill. Not sure who makes that for ProMark, but I'll make note of it.

I was kinda surprised that it didn't fit. There is no adjustment back and forth with the mount. It looks great, but cannot be used with a solenoid box that has the cables coming out the back. I think an integrated solenoid would be fine.

Mine sits close too....I got the wires to fit, but touching the grill. Sure enough it's rubbing the paint quite a bit already.....doh!

Jeep Add On Chris,

Any deals going on as of 2/23/13? I'm about ready to purchase a winch and I'm leaning towards Engo. Looking at ordering a bumper of some sort too.

Thanks,

Same here on my YJ using the universal mounting plate that they sent with the winch. I think i will just build a new bracket for the electrical box so it sits further away from the grill.

Where can I get a cover for my E10000? I want to keep the sun off of the synthetic rope.

Not sure if I'd purchase something from 4wheelonline. Had some bad reviews. However they have Engo winch covers. So there is definitely Engo winch covers out there. Just gotta find one from a decent company. Let me know if you find one from another site. I'm about to order a winch and will def want a cover.

Did you hear back from Chris at Jeep Add Ons?

Finally got my winch all hooked up Saturday night. I ended up getting an Engo winch cover from Engo, that way I'm in their system if anything ever happens with the winch.

Wde do have the covers as well. $20 if you order at the same time as the winch, $30 if shipped separate. On all winches, please give our sales reps a call for a great deal!

On a side note, if you use the larger wires for a remote mount solenoid, the connectors you pass the wires through on the box will have to be enlarged.
