Dave dropped off his JKUR Tuesday night to have some work done that he decided to do a few weeks ago, except he and Gunner had just returned from doing Holcomb, John Bull and Gold mountain. So needless to say, there were a few additions to his list, Bushwhacker fenders was one...

So it looks as if Dave had a fight with a few rocks on those trails, rear driveshaft: trash, skids: bent, LCA skids: good thing we had just welded them on!

So the new Uniden BC880 arrived, and I'm going to give it a road test. Along with the multi color selectable display, the built in swr, and many other features, it can use the new Uniden wireless mic that has a range of 100 meters! So you get out to spot the jeep in front of you, and you have the capability of talking to the driver on the cb... Fantastic!

When I was in electrics in high school. Uniden was one of the best radios we used. Something about the crystals they have make them very clear but has had problems with the LCD burning out. But they probably fixed that by now.

When I was in high school electronics class they had just invented radio.

Stan did you watch the video of Dave gliding his way thru John Bull? You will see where he did each boo boo.

Tim's JKu is close to hitting the trails! Even though this coil over project doesn't have the shocks mounted up though the rear cargo area like mine, the articulation and wheel travel is incredible.

I was just saying too bad we hadn't already finished eating, I could talk jeeps for hours too! Nice meeting your wife, or budget director. After you take her out with us a few times, she will like the whole "jeep in" thing. Good people and good times!

Dave said you found the videos and know how he hurt the jeep. I want to talk to you about modding my rear bumper with the Plasma cutter. I want to get a better angle on drop offs by cutting off the corners and shaving the bottom on an angle.

Rick,
Bump cans are what you use to mount air bumps when running coil overs, and hd 17s are Trail Ready bead locks like I run on my ride. And yes, you need both of these items!

Ha ha! Nice!

Yeah, maybe get bead locks when I move up to 37's. Ugh! The 35's are not even a year old and I'm thinking about 37's...

For now I'll focus on my rails and a front bumper next.

This is my 'bumper of the week'. Meaning I change my mind every week.

Jeeps are a constantly changing project Rick. The arb looks pretty good. Glad to see they finally offer a stubby!
