OK Boss. Time to put the thinking cap on... My left front tire suddenly started making noise and rumbling at low speed like a swamper. Discount tire is replacing it but he said he thinks a shock is going out. It is only in the middle and it is random. The edges are not feathered on the sides. and the outer lugs look perfect. I am going to need to make an appointment to have you look at it and maybe do some work. Look at these and let me know when you come back.

Bob I know the RRD shocks had some miles on them when you bought the suspension used, so It looks to me we may have a bad shock or two.
might I ask what these parts are, exactly? I know my JK purty well and am looking at them and cannot quite pin my finger on what I am looking at for a JK here...they look nice as all get-out what with billet and custom milling like that....
Silver Bullet is finished, at least for now...the orange accents were a nice addition. This JK drives fantastic, and if time permits, a trip to the mountains will be in order this weekend to test.
this makes me drool....what an incredibly stout and worthy front end suspension setup!
Holy crud, you spared no expense, did you?
I would tackle anything with a setup like that ....if I could get my wife to understand how much tip-toeing I do with a gusseted D30 up front......she would understand a 10 grand front build like this!
well done. I am trying to maintain," thou shalt not covet.." but you make it very difficult, man.....
Steve's Ampd Rubicon X is alive. Ramp check, and he was off to Big Bear to check out the new parts. He had a very good report after running all the hardest trails he could do that day. He said his wife loves the jeep now!
Anybody know what front bumper this is?
Ya can't fix stupid
13 JKU Auto
I feel so bad for these customers, last week they were in for a trans cooler, now back because a cat hit their yellow Rubi in the side! Bent up the factory suspension pretty bad, along with bending the front axle housing. Did someone say Currie?
OK I have been looking at the new Rock Krawler Rock Runner stage 2 setup. It comes with 10 inch Coil over shocks in the rear and 12 inch in the front. Do you know just how much that might translate to wheel travel?
The rear control arms on 'Yella are coming together after all the calculations needed For raising the mounts on the frame and axle up and out of rock damages way. Next is the third link mods to the RJ diff, and then the CO mounts for the rear.
Time and materials really, the body mount is a little tricky to move, but works great when finished. Moving the LCA mount up is really only necessary if you run a Genright tank or fuel cell, since the tank is still the low point.
I was thinking about coilovers for my JKU. The EVO bolt on just seems a bit expensive. The front coil overs and towers look simple to install. The rear is what I'm concerned with I don't want them sticking up into the storage area. What other options is there for our JKU?
My next JK C/O system will be along the lines of an outboard arrangement on a long arm. The axle width will need to be wider of coarse, but well worth it.
