We are having a problem with our hosting company. It should be resolved very soon. Thanks for your patience.

Links work now. I would love a compact CB like that IF it had weather bands. Absolute requirement for me.

How far does this radio get out?

Well it all depends on your antenna. All CB radios put out 4 watts of power. The only difference is the extra features on the radio. You will get better reception if you use a quality 4 or 5 foot antenna, then if you go with a smaller one. I recommend a Firestik antenna, you can see what we have here

The Midland 1001LWX is a smaller CB radio with weather. This is probably the smallest radio with weather you can get, unless you go with a handheld unit like the Cobra 75WXST or the Cobra HH38WXST

I've got a 75WxSt in my TJ now. I was looking for a small radio like this Uniden with weather for my Avalanche. I can move the 75 back and forth, but the connection/plugin seems to be wearing out with all that swapping.

I've seen the 1001LWX and that is on my interest list, as is the Cobra 18WxStII.

Both of those are good radios. The 1001LWX is going to be a bit smaller than the Cobra.
