New Rugged Ridge Jeep JK XHD Aluminum Front Winch Bumper
Front bumpers in stock and shipping, rear bumper pods and center step shipping in late November available for pre-order.
Rugged Ridge Jeep JK XHD Front Aluminum Bumpers
Designed to be a whole new look while being extremely light weight. Save on fuel and the environment. The Bumper is all Aluminum but uses the current steel XHD D-rings. Each bumper comes with a built in top filler plate. Each new XHD has cutouts and mounting points for the factory fog lights and a great looking “Jeep® Style” front slat look that will make this bumper stand out.
Rugged Ridge Jeep JK XHD Rear Aluminum Bumper Pods
Taking the light weight theme further, we have developed steel inner framed Aluminum Rear Bumper Pods. These new lightweight Pods still allow for over sized tires but take a huge chunk of weight out of the bumper. (The picture shows the rear pods installed with the enclosed steel D rings for the XHD Rear Tire Carrier). Each Pod can be used with XHD tire carrier part #11546.20 to hang those 35”+ tires, shown in picture with the optional center step. The XHD Aluminum bumper pods are approximately 40lbs+ lighter than the average steel off road bumper. Government studies show a fuel economy benefit of 2% for every 100lbs of weight savings (http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/driveHabits.shtml).
Just How Light is the Aluminum XHD Rear Bumper?
Rear Bumper Weight*Aluminum XHD - Standard Configuration 43.45lbs (Pods, Brackets & D-Rings. The optional Step adds an additional 6lbs)
OE Plastic Bumper Cover 16.5lbs
Brand X Off Road Bumper 85lbs & Up

There are 8 configurations so it depends. Check the link and PM me if you are interested. I can work on the pricing if you see them for less. When I listed these I priced them below anything I could find on Google.
I'm ready for a front bumper but not the wrench yet! Whats it look like without the wrench? Does the plate give it a finished looked?
I don't have a picture of the non winch version, they only just came out. The bumper is designed as both a winch and non winch bumper. The filler plate in the non winch version covers the hole for the winch to give it a finished look.
How long are you planning on running w/out a winch? If it were me I'd order the one with the winch plate to save a few $ and live with it like that for a while. It won't look "finished" as such but won't look that horrible and saves you money in the long run.
i like the look of that rear, do you happen to have a copy of the install instructions? i bent a couple peices on the factory bumper mounts, so I need to see if I have to replace anything. Also, wouldnt mind a quote for the rear with step and tire carrier
I can't seem to find the install instructions for the pods but did find the center step instructions. http://www.omix-ada.com/instructions/11547.10.pdf. I've emailed my rep for them, it takes RR a while sometimes to get the instructions on-line.
The rear pods and step are not available to ship until late November.
You have to jump through a couple of hoops, mail in UPC off the boxes and wait a few weeks. On a $500+ bumper you can get $50 mailed back to you from the manufacturer which will for the most part cover the shipping cost.
