Hey ibrown, do they have enough adjustability to swing them in toward the cabin a little more? Or if you swing the whole thing toward the cabin is there not enough articulation of the mirror to adequately use the mirror? It seems like they shouldn't have to hang out so wide from the vehicle.

There is still plenty of room to swing them un with plenty of articulation left for adjustment. Another nice feature is that the mirror is nice and big with a convex contour that gives a wide view.

The angle of the pic is deceiving. They don't stick out any further than the fenders.

Ok did some thread shaving and some adjusting and some coating. Here is what I have. (this is the set I'm building for Baja) if it looks wet, that's because it is. As hard as I tried not to, I scratched the powder coat a tiny bit in a couple spots, so I gave it a coat of my matching touch up gloss black to bring the appearance back.

I can vouch that the mirrors are of superior quality! I ordered mine a couple months ago and they can't be beat for the price and quality!

Thumbs up

Just wanted to follow-up on my experience with these mirrors and Defiant Systems...

I ordered mine back on August 12 and didn't hear anything for 9 days so I emailed Defiant. I got a response that day apologizing and letting me know that the powder coat shop had a delay. I received the mirrors about 3 or 4 days later (can't remember the exact date they arrived). Included in the box was a cool looking coaster with an old Willys jeep imprinted on it and a letter apologizing for the delay. Apparently the wife of the gentleman that owns Defiant (sorry! I don't remember your name from the letter! ) does some printing work and creates these cool coasters. It was a nice gesture and a sign of good customer service.

The mirrors look good and seem very well made. Unfortunately, I hadn't had a chance to try them out until today. The weather is going to be beautiful so I took my doors off and threw the mirrors on. They went on quick and fit great. I was a little worried about the passenger side mirror being viewable but once I climbed in and adjusted them a little, I could see the entire viewing area. Now, I'm 6'4" and push my seat back almost all the way so a shorter guy might have the inner edge blocked a little, but its not enough to cause problems. I like the fact that these are convex mirrors too! On the road there was a little vibration, but nothing really to worry about and waaaaay less than other mirrors I've tried. I still can see what's beside me just fine. They do the job really well and look good too.

Overall, they are totally worth it! Really good product and a good price. Add to that the excellent customer service from Defiant Systems and they can't be beat! Thanks Defiant!

Nice to see a Mom & Pop shop get business rather than corporation who uses slave labor in China! God bless the USA!

Just to re-emphasize about the coasters, my wife does make them and she can use custom photos that anyone might want to send in as the coaster print. Have your own Jeep made into coasters or your favorite Jeep meme. Anyone interested should PM me and I can get that set up!

I'd ordered these mirrors as I'd seen the pics and read the reviews...I received them yesterday and today the doors came off and I installed them. I'm not going to post pics because you've seen them if you've gotten this far in the thread. I will say this though...if there is a question about whether or not they're worth it...they certainly are!! I don't often take the time to review a product, but these not only get you back to legal, they look excellent as well. Defiant Systems...great correspondence and nice product. Use 'em!!
