I can't give you a time line on it. It is in our product development queue but that's all I can say.

You are both in the product plans. But like with the 2-squirter TJ's, I can't say how long it will be until those are ready too.

Very pleased with the louvers. Ordered on Sunday, got it on Thursday, and installed on Friday. The install on my 97 TJ went smooth as per instructions. Got a 03 washer nozzel, and a few small changes with cut-outs. I left a 2" web on the 2 long cuts. My wife(the boss) showed up when I was drilling with hole saw, and had a fit. I assured her all was good for the finished job. She saw the finished louvers, and gave her thumbs-up looks good. Thanks Poison for a great up-grade to our TJ, and the super prompt shipping. Brian.

Can't seem to get pics to work. Anyway the TJ looks just like the black one on Poison Spyder Hood Louver site. Even painted red under the spider stamp out. Will try again when the wife can post for me, as I'm not too savy with the computer. Cheers.

No the hoods are not exactly the same. We sell two different "Mountain Spyder" style hood decals for the YJ and TJ, and they have different outlines. That's not to say someone with some ingenuity couldn't make the TJ one work on a YJ, but we can't sell it with a guarantee it will work on a YJ. FWIW, one customer of ours just put one on a JK and it came out looking pretty good!

The top of the motor can be wet all year and be okay

We get the question a lot about rain/snowmelt dripping through the louvers onto the engine. Here in Southern California we don't get as much rain as some of you in other parts of the country. But still, we've never seen any ill effects to getting a little water in the engine compartment. All of the electrical connections and other systems under the hood are pretty well weatherproofed already, as you can get just as much water splashed up from below when driving through puddles in rainy weather.

The Poison Spyder Hood Louver is now available for JK's!

We'll add more installed photos of the JK version as we get them, we're just a little light on them at this point since this is a brand new product

I ordered one of these recently for my 04 TJ. The price was right and shipping was super fast. Have not yet had a chance to install it amongst all the other projects going on. But the template looks easy to use and it should be a breeze.

The packaging was outstanding! I can't recall a more properly packaged product that I've ever bought. It would have to be run through with a forklift to damage it.

Thumbs up

Looks amazing! Ok I have to get a price on these from Northride 4x4! There is a guy from here in Canada in my club that these on his YJ self made truck conversion. And it snows, hails, sleets, rains, and high winds and he has no problems.

Come on guy's. How is it that the JK comes out before the more simply modded version for us 97-02 TJ guys? keep in mind that the 97-03 TJ's are more popular than the JK and you said yourself that the earlier TJ (97-02) just needed a washer nozzle mod to work. Seems like that would have come out first with such a simple change needed. When can we expect to get off the "back burner"??

We don't have CAD models of the early TJ (we do for the JK), nor do we have physical specimens of the early TJ hood readily available. Send us your Jeep and we'll use it for the test mule (if your hood is straight). You'll get it back with a free hood louver and free installation

If I wasn't in BFE, I'd let you experiment on Ajax! Even if he IS an 06.
I'll bet that you could find a guinea pig in a matter of minutes if you posted that offer up!

I have friends in SoCal....
I messaged one of them, let's see if he's interested.

Any known issues with it for mud runners or in my case a lot of wet sand?

Have good wipers, because anytime I've hit a mud hole with mine, the fan shoots the muddy water straight at the windshield.
