Took the spring out and sprayed with engine enamel Ford dark blue was the color that matched the boots.

There are no plans to do that, that I am aware of. Honestly we're a little gun-shy about doing it after we heard so much whining about the full logo when we released the early ones LOL...

We get a lot of great photos sent to us by our customers. I noticed we had been receiving a few shots of the Hood Louvers from the driver's perspective. I thought it might be cool to post a few of those together...

Matthew Parga-Manasse's attention to detail is insane. Check out how he painted the rear-facing edges of the louvers in the copper color he uses elsewhere on his JK...

Dave & Shannon Nuss posted this gem to our Facebook page. Killer view over the hood louver, of the red rocks at twilight.

Looks like Steven Clough will be making tracks in some fresh powder in his Poison Spyder Hood Louver'd YJ:

Got one of these on the way for my rig. Can't wait to see how it holds up to the heat in Moab later this year!

Bump this thread back to the top for a great product. Got something accomplished today.

I'll have some pics with the hood back on after the engine transplant. Loved the louver and install was pretty easy. No issues with the hardware at all. Dab of anti-seize on all the allen bolts made for easy threading. Went with a flat black paint to reduce the glare of the 20" light bar coming off the hood.

That sunset hood louver photo above is a winner

Anyone that is still debating on this hood just needs to do it. I have TONS of mods done to Jeep and this is still my favorite hands down! You guys won't regret this purchase that's for sure

I live in AZ and is crazy how much heat pours at of these hood louvers. Just sitting at a stop light you can see it coming out of vents

Agreed. That pic of the hood and red rock at sunset is sexy!

Funny thing is this thing has been sitting in my garage for the last couple of weeks and the GF has been on me asking when I was going to get it installed. Its her favorite thing on my Jeep. Before now, the hood was the *only* thing on my rig that hadn't been modified in one way or another.

I bought it for function, but the form is a thing of beauty.

I'd love to have that hood louver. Is it available for a 2013 JK with two nozzles? Also, do you know someone who would install it in the Corona/Riverside, California area?

We will have a 2013-specific one available at some point, but I don't have a specific date for it. We do not normally do single-item installs. But some of our dealers do installs. Try So Cal Supertrucks in San Bernardino or Brothers 4X4 in Pomona.

Question on the Powder Coat.... Is a glossy black or a satin/matte black? I am wondering if it will closely match my bumpers that I had coated here locally. Which are satin. And they won't do it for just $30.

Or if I should I just go the bare metal route and toss them more money.

Its sort of a semi-gloss black. Not quite satin, not quite gloss.

Thanks for the help. Now I just need to get over my fear of cutting into by hood. I can't cut a straight line worth a damn.

It was easy. Drew it out with template and sharpie then made the cuts with my harbor freight cutter.

Doesn't have to be perfectly straight, the louvers will cover it.
