Any vendors discounting Rigid for Christmas? 10% off and free shipping? Free mount? Anything near some of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday/November deals that I missed out on?

With any accessory it is best to go directly to the battery. This will prevent you from overloading any other circuits.

My factory fog lights are gone along with my bumper, but the wiring harness is still there with bags and zip-ties over the cannon plugs. Because these lights draw considerably less than the fog lights did, could I wire them up to that harness? I have heard mixed answers on this. Everything from "the lights will be over loaded", to "it will start a fire".

On the rigid web site, they sell a weatherproof connector that could be used to replace the factory connector. Thoughts? Which beam pattern would be best for this placement (on top of a smittybilt xrc bumper)?

Most of those factory bumper mounted fog lights used on the Jeep TJ Wranglers were a 42 watt light. As long as you stay with a light that operates at no more than 42 watts you will be just fine.

The beam pattern will depend on what results you are trying to accomplish.
