Cheap LED bar

Anybody have one or know where to get one at a reasonable price all I have seen seem really high to me?

Rigid, Procomp, Delta...I believe they're all ~ $1K. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an inexpensive one.

Maybe try these guys: Vision X Super Store - LED

If you don't mind a Chinese brand (Totron) light try these guys.
LED Lighting | Exploration Outfitters

I bought a 20" single row for my Gobi rack and paid about $200 including harness. Install was a snap. Light works well and is very bright. More than enough for the little use I will give it.

Vendor was easy to deal with and provided great customer service.

I am a big fan of the Rigid products but they are pricey. I found this over on the Polaris Forum, you may want to take a look:

Light bars, hundreds of dollars cheaper then the named brand and way better too. - Polaris ATV Forum

One of the guys in my Jeep club bought a cheap light bar off ebay, 24" for $250 I think, POS. Thing lasted about a month and they are so cheaply made that nothing sealed properly. He had it mounted above his winch and the first mud hole he went through almost completely filled the housing. So after taking it apart, cleaning it and properly re sealing it, it worked a little bit better. Then about a week after that the circuitry inside shorted out and random lights just gave up working. All in all he ended up returning it and buying a Rigid 48" to go above the winshield and he couldnt be happier. So honestly dont cheap out on your lighting, especially with the ebay ones. Its like a winch, you get what you pay for.

I just installed the Black Box Logistics 50" with Poison Spyder mounts and so far the quality seems very good. I was a little nervous but it has good weight, strong housing and glass for possible rocks on hwy. The only thing I don't like is this high pitched whining I get now because of the wind passing over the heatsinks. This thing is crazy bright!! Off road use only without a doubt. Looks like lighting striking in front of you when you turn it on.

I run a 50" LED bar on my YJ from Illumination LEDs. It's the best mod I've made for my YJ. Definitely the best prices I've seen anywhere. 50" is only $599.99 w/ free shipping. And it's rated at 21,120 lumens. Ridiculous output. www.illuminationLeds.com

Output photos

High beams and KC driving lights

50" led bar.

Pictures don't do it justice!

The tempered glass is the downfall with those... Glass does this.

PC is the same thing rigid runs, and is referred to as Unbreakable.

I know that it is a downside I was just posting the information. I didn't say it was better.

That's why I posted them, since the OP was asking for a cheap LED light bar.

I would say go with Rigid or BullDog lighting but they are expensive and made in USA. The only reason I use them is because my friend is sponsored by them and I can get deals on the lights.

Carlos, do you know if the PolyCarbonate fades over time (compares to the tempered glass)?

Also, how did you shatter your LED light? Rock/Pebble, or was it from the heat the LED produces? (when it was broken, did any of the LED's stop functioning?)

Sorry for all the questions, wanted to make an educated decision before making a purchase.

MRT2, the disadvantage of polycarbonate can be seen with cars with polycarb headlights (most cars produced in the last ten+ years). While polycarbonate is more resistant to breakage, it is more easily scratched than glass and gets cloudy and yellow over time.

LED light bars come with both PC or hardened shatter resistant glass depending on what one you go with. As with anything with Jeeps and other offroad rigs, there's always trade-offs and compromises that have to be made. Glass has advantages PC doesn't and PC has advantages that glass doesn't.

The good thing is that either on light bars with PC or ones with hardened glass, that piece is fairly easily replaceable.

I borrowed that picture from somewhere online so it wasn't my light, but it was a small rock on the road that did the damage.

And as to the lenses issues, all the lenses illumination sells are completely removable/replaceable. This is not so with many of the glass lenses as they are glued in to place.

I'll put it this way. Rigid uses PC lenses. Haven't heard many complaints from those guys.

I've done my share of studying and I completely understand your reservations.

Partially correct. The LEDs come in 2x2 blocks, which you're referring to as the illumination cells. The PC or hardened glass just covers cells from the elements.

Huge pic alert. However, if you click on the full size image, you can see what I'm referring to.

Compared to an import light with hardened glass (note this isn't one I sell, but gives a good comparison).

Rigid has a completely different design from anything imported, being that they have an optical lense on top of the LEDs themselves and also a PC lense covering the entire light. No one else uses this first optical bending lense. Only the covering lense.

And I meant all the lights Illumination LEDs sells have removable lenses. Not the illumination cells. By the way haha.
