Jk headlights

We have a 2012 wrangler and the headlights are the worst I have seen. I went to a local truck/off road accessory store and purchased a pair of PIAA bulbs. They did make a difference and in fairness the guy said that still these lights are crap even with the PIAA bulbs. Is there any other light assemblies available that people have that are better, and I mean in a worthy way? I don't mind the $ for results.

I run the Truck Lite LED headlights. They've been very good for me, here in deer country. But they're expensive. You'll see a lot of posts where people say they don't burn warm enough to melt ice and snow in winter...I live in WI and drive in those conditions all the time, and have never had a problem. I think it's one of those forum myths that gets repeated because people don't know any better. But I digress...

Some good info in these threads: Anyone else think their JK Headlights are crap?
question about hella e code h4 on 2013jk
New headlights: Delta or Truck Lite...or something else...

Rallylights makes a good, fairly inexpensive replacement set (compared to some other options) that works well when paired with the Phillips extreme bulbs: Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Product

Here's a thread from another forum from our resident lighting expert, Hilldweller. Couple years old, but still pertinent as to which lights work well and which don't: Headlight Shootout - JeepForum.com

Another good resource is the Daniel Stern site, which sells the Cibie H4 housings: Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

Saved this one for last, in case you need an answer this year. It's a sticky at the top of the lighting page, but it's at least a 20-course meal, so you might wanna treat it like Spanish tapas: The Official JK Aftermarket Lighting Thread (HID, HALO, Fog, Etc..)

old 300 I am doing HID retrofits for Wranglers, mainly JKs, and trying to get enough people for small groupbuy so I can lower the price for my fellow Jeepers. PM me if your interested & want to discuss it. Heres my wife's JK I did, pics don't do it justice & the light output is amazing.

crawlin_archer, care to share information on how you retrofitted the headlights? I am thinking of trying this with an extra set of lights I have. I have done it on Ram headlights, but never anything this small with such tight space behind the headlights.
