KC Hilites relay question

I have an older set of KC Daylighters with sealed beams. Question is, do I need to use a relay running only two lights? Is just an inline fuse ok? I know these are old and no one sells sealed beam Daylighters anymore but want to try them out before I invest in a newer set.

You'll need a relay for sure if it's the old 150w sealed beams otherwise you'll need to run some very heavy guage wire since you'll have very long runs to and from the switch. ..and you'll need a pretty beefy switch too. Even if they're not the 150's, it's never a bad idea to use a relay because it'll keep your options open later if your setup changes.

If your Wire length is less than 20', you will be ok using 14 gauge wire, which is good to 18 amps of Draw, WHICH if your lights are 100 Watts each, you'd be pulling approx 16 amps total. THAT WOULD BE MINIMUM Wire size, I'd allow more cushion if it were I, and use 12 Gauge, 20 Amp Fused, through the Relay.
