Kc light install

Hi all, I installed 90% oh my KC hilites. The only ting I have left to do is get the wires from the engine side of my jeep to the inside of my jeep. Any suggestions? I noticed that there is some foam on the cab part of the jeep. Can I go through that and not worry about the heat shield that protects the inside of the jeep from fire etc? I have a 2012 rubicon JK. Thanks for your help.

yeah, you could drill your own holes as long as you make sure it's clear on the ohter side and fit a rubber grommet or boot to the hole. All vehicles have places where you can pass wires through to the interior. the driver side usually has a wiring harness and hood release cables, the passenger side sometimes has wiring, hoses, and other cables like maybe an antenna going through. Use something stiff to fish your switch wires through whatever opening suits your needs as long as its not for a moving linkage like the brake pedal.

If you get a flashlight and look under the hood on the drivers side fire wall you will find a rubber grommet. Its about 18" from the top of the firewall and about 8" from the drivers side that you can go through. I ran my lead from my battery through the firewall that way. I used a metal coat hanger and filed a point on the end then pushed it through then taped the wire on the coat hanger and pulled that through the grommet.
