LED Strips?

Hey all. Recently for Easter, my mom decided to buy me a little package of those peel and stick LED strips. It says that they run on a 12v battery source, wire into a switched source, and are waterproof.

So as many of us unfortunately know, the reverse lights on TJs aren't exactly good. I was wondering if it would be possible to tap these into the existing reverse lights and power them at the same time. Anybody have experience doing this? Any opinions? Thank you!

I've never used them as reverse lights but I stuck them in my yj as floor lights and they work much better than I expected, I'm sure that extra light in the rear will help out a lot and it's just (+) and (-) so it wouldn't be to hard to splice them in.

You could always use the back-up lights as a turn in signal to a relay set-up. Then use the relay to power the LEDs if your worried about it drawking to much current the back-up lamp circuit. But LEDs shouldn't draw to much juice.
