Lighting Recommendations!

So had a rock flip up and shatter my headlight, so now I have an excuse to replace the headlights and since I'm at it I am looking to add some fogs and off road driving lights on either side of the windshield, you guys got any recommendations for a good combo!? We get a bit of fog out here in oregon so defiantly looking for a great performing fog lx!

Thanks y'all

I just replaced the stock headlights in my 2013 JKU with the IPF 4 conversion. They are way better and nice white light. I highly recommend. I also replaced the fogs with PIAA LP530 Wrangler JK specific kit. They are a direct replacement for your factory fogs and mount into your factory mounts. They are also much brighter and whiter than the factory fogs. They are slightly smaller in diameter than the factory fogs but not really noticeable. Super nice lights

I have hella e codes and 15,000k HIDs in my 05 TJ. I absolutely love them. E codes have a great spread pattern and coverage. As for the fog lights idk... I have 6" LED lights on my windshield that I use at night so I don't have a purpose for fogs. I never turn mine on at all haha

the headlights are up to you but if fog is frequenty your problem like it can be for me, you should pass on the super "whites" , leds, and hids since they're not good in heavy fog and snow. my advice is to stick with halogens in the factory fog, then add a pair of halogens with a proper fog reflector somewhere on the front. I don't get to Oregon so I don't know what's popular for driving and long range lighting down there but up here with the looooong darkkkk mountain winters, the high dollar Lightforce hids have well over 90% of the market.

How are HIDs illegal? I've ran HIDs in the last 5 cars i've owned. My Cherokee and my JK have 6k's in them right now. If they are set up with a good projector then there is no problem.

I can't count how many cars come with HIDs from the factory now, so your "HIDs are illegal" statement is invalid.

1. No they aren't illegal. If they are I haven't had a single problem with them from anyone
2. I have plenty of light with them. WAY better than the crap stock lights
3. They aren't "holly blue" or purple. They are bluish white which gives me plenty of light.
4. All HIDs are different. If you get crappy ones they will suck. But I got a quality pair that work great so it's a matter of the ones you pick and do research on. I didn't pay 115 for lights that will give me "no light."

Kc day lighters. Great lights to have mounted on your Jeep. They are bright an they do good in the fog. Plus, they make the jeep look good!

My lights were very oxidized. I went with these glass units from Ebay
Came with 2 lights with bulbs. Direct replacement.

Purchased the adapters from Fortec 4x4

The lights are great cheap upgrade. I used to have to drive with my fog lights on just to see the road, now I only turn them on in the fog. HTH

1.unless factory equipped with hids are illegal. There are NO cj's yj's tj's jk's that came with hids from the factory. thus putting hids in a wrangler is and always will be illegal. now if you are running a good projector such as a tl fx-r s2k mh1 minid2 you are more to the legal side but still illegal. anything you do to alter a stock lighting system is illegal.

as for the projectors you buy on ebay and other sources that bolt right in, they are not real projectors.

2.you must not know what good light is

3.if you have 15k like you stated thay are a dark blue/ purple and produse less usable light then a good clear halogen bulb

4. with a good hid setup you will be lucky if you cvan get one bulb for 115 let alone a whole setup. to do hids properly with good projectors you are looking at over $400 if you do the work your self. chances are you got the same bulbs and ballests that you can buy on ebay for $30.

1. I honestly don't care what you think and or say about it because I know what I like what works for me.

2. I haven't gotten pulled over, I have passed inspection, and gone through several instances where If they were a problem I would have gotten a ticket.

3. I think I know what my colors are. I'm not an idiot so how about you keep your smart ass comments to a minimum.

4. It's not your jeep it's mine and ill do whatever I want to to it
