Rigid SRM as reverse light and wiring

I asked Rigid this question via their support form on their website but apparently they don't care to answer. Frustrating. Anyhow, I want to tap one of their SRM lights into my factory reverse light wire. I don't need it on a separate switch. Can I wire the SRM that way? Just tap the hot into the factory reverse hot wire, and then bolt the ground wire to the frame somewhere? Anyone see a problem wiring in this fashion? Do I need a diode or relay?

I believe they draw .7-.8A, should be ok to hook into the stock system. If its more them a few amps (doubtful on one led unit) I'd look into a relay, but if it's just one it should be fine.

The factory wiring is not beefy. For instance the headlights cannot get enough current due to undersized wire. You may be fine just adding it into the reverse circuit but, if you wire in a relay I bet you will get brighter lights.

if you don't mind to spend around $30 more pick up the harness for trailer lights it plugs right in and it would be easy to splice into its reverse circuit.
Before you stress out about the load on the tail light circuit keep in mind that jeep uses heavy enough wire in the circuit to accommodate 2 incandescent trailer reverse lights that draw significantly more amps than your LED...

I have already installed the trailer light harness. Do you know which color wire is for reverse?
