The JW 8700 goes in just like the OEM & adjustments are made with factory adjustment screws . There are posts on here for how to adjust aim if needed its no different than stock

SMS (Rallylights.com) full harness is the best answer IMO, this harness is not just for TL it's the best option for all lights IMO. There are tons of post here about it. Any flicker eliminator/smoother must lower the power to the lights where the SMS full harness draws full constant power directly from the battery, IMO.

Still on the fence with TL and JW....should I put the extra $300+ elsewhere is the question

JW's

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the JW Speaker hdlts. I ordered them from Discount Fleet Supply. On their site, they list for; $714 a pair. When I told them I learned about their company on "Wrangler Forum", the salesman gave me an extra discount. So, headlights plus the adaptor was like $695, and free shipping.

I was told that they order them direct from JW, and a week or so.

Where can I find the build date on the lights?

Wow. I feel like an idiot now. I didn't know they come in pairs... so I bought two of the single ones, which were $750. Will have to call em and see about an adjustment.

Just in case.
I noticed this as well. They're bright as hell, but only up to the top of the trunk of the vehicle in front of me. Zero bleed into the back window, back seats, or the cabin area. If you have one of the newer vehicles, the aim should already be perfectly set. Just make sure you screw the bulbs onto the ring tightly.

Does anyone know the color temp of the JW Speaker Headlights?

The Truck-Lite Phase 7's are 5800K. I'm just curious how close the JW will match the 6000k LED bulbs I have for the fogs.

I am waiting for TL to come out with a fix as well but I may just jump ship and buy the JW.

I had to take my jeep in the other day because the module that controlled the theft detterent system went out which wouldn't allow me to start the jeep. I only have 2600 miles on it. The service consultant informed that a different module might get fried because of the Truck Lites that I have on there and it's a $600 part that won't be covered under warranty. Does anyone have any information or similar thing to that?

Sounds like a service advisor trying to stick you with a bill... There are lots of people with TL's on their jeeps and no problems. See another dealer.....

You'll love them still a slight flicker at times but not bad at all . I'm waiting for that anti flicker harness to get here to fix that

I hope they won't flicker. They told me they wouldn't. Maybe the harnesses that come with them fix that.

I'm torn between the TLs and Speakers to replace the driving lights, but right now I'm trying to figure out what to put in my bumper for aux lights. I have a metalcloak bumper coming that actually has 4 openings for lights (2 for stock fogs in center, 1 in each end cap for aux). Any input on best light type to add here? I'll be driving around with open wholes for a little while, but hopefully I'll be able to scrape up enough cash to get some lights in the next month or so.
What are you guys running for aux lights? They'll basically have to be 7" rounds in order to fit right in the bumper.

I'd go w/led. 7" seems big for a hole in a bumper?

Sorry - you're probably right, I don't know the hole size yet (bumper will be delivered Thursday). I meant to say the holes are stock fog sized. Which is not 7", but I'm not sure what they are. LED is looking promising - I'm looking at the PIAA LP 530s, but would replace my stock fogs with these, leaving 2 openings still. Definitely want LEDs to match temp, but I'm undecided on whether they should be driving lights, secondary fogs, or other.

I'm guessing the holes are ~4". I'd have a set of fogs the run w/your low beams, then fill the additional holes w/a set to run w/your high beams, maybe spot beam.

That's not a bad idea...I was just thinking I'd run a separate switch to the secondary set in the end caps, but wiring them to the high beams would be a clean setup. I'll have to look into the details - wiring isn't my strong suit. If the secondary is LED, they shouldn't draw much more power. Of course, if anyone has an existing write-up or pointers on how to splice into the high beams, it would be much appreciated. Otherwise, I'll ask the Google machine.
