No other screws. Just some metal push clips. Just pull a little close to the area where its still attached and it will come loose.

Not once they are unplugged (the back of the light). The turn signal light and housing come off with the grille. After the plastic retainers are off of the top of the grille it just has pressure fittings and you can remove the grille.

No I haven't but these seem like the best I could find that fit in stock housing.

My understanding is that the red light on the switch should be off when the light are off, and turn on when the lights are on. He installed whatever was in the box nothing else. So is the shop guy correct or am I missing something? Sorry for the loooong first post, any help appreciated.
He actually did follow the Rigid instructions, which are incorrect. Reverse the red wires and you should be good.

ok I think I attached a picture. So you are talking about the bottom two red wires? If so can I just pull them off the switch and pop them right back on?

Yes, that easy. Light Off/switch Off , Light On/switch On. I won't take all the credit. I read it somewhere in here but couldn't find it.

Is everyone removing the actual housing of the headlight or squeezing the bulb out of the tight space?

I've done both. It's much easier to take the grille and headlights out from the front.

I just had to remove the passenger side headlight housing only. Things went smooth. Ill report back tomorrow with my impressions of the Phillips X-Treme bulbs.

OK not as easy as I thought, I hope they are not broken. Used some pliers to get the wires off the switch.... and sparks flew Was thinking maybe a fuse blew out but they are directly connected to a battery. I plugged them back in and now they wont turn on at all. anyone... a little guidance please

Alright after a bit more looking around i found the fuse that was blown attached to the harness the lights came with. I cant remember if it came with the lights or if the local shop put it on. Thanks Ubear7 for your input

When do they flicker? When they are on or in the day time?

those that have upgraded their fog bulbs with like bulbs, what bulb(s) is everyone using? i believe the stock bulbs are 24W? i assume its safe to go up to 35W?

would these work?

http://www.amazon.com/Nokya-Hyper-Ye...rds=9009%2Fh16

i replaced my headlight bulbs with Phillips X-Treme bulbs and i can tell a noticeable difference, good purchase.

They only seem to flicker when the car is parked. I took it for a night drive and it didn't seem to flicker at all when driving.

I don't think the flickering affects it any when driving it is just a tad annoying when standing still.

Are they working correctly now that the fuse is back in? Sorry for not warning you to take out the fuse or disconnect it first.

HAHA ya I should of disconnected from the battery first before I tried to switch the wires but I was in a hurry and didn't give it much thought. Ended up having to run to autozone for a fuse. Works light it should now the switch light is off when lights are off and on when lights are on. Again, thanks for you help

Does anybody know why jw speakers flicker and if the problem can be fixed? People have posted that the newer ones don't flicker but that's not true people still have flickering. I have the money to buy them but I'm not going to pay that kind of money if they flicker. I would need a guarantee from the producers before I buy.

Jeep has a pulse width modulation electrical system(PWM). This means that the voltage is varying from low to high very rapidly. Halogen bulbs aren't sensitive to this but LED light are sensitive to voltage variations. SMS builds a wiring harness which takes voltage directly from the battery. This solves the flicker. JW & Trucklites will have to develop internal circuits to smooth out the voltage variations. Both are working on this. I have read in this thread that JW has added a circuit on lights built after August, 2012. Someone with these lights will have to confirm how effective it is.

These where made this year and still flicker. So what would we need to stop the flickering? Truck liters flicker too, I haven't heard anyone complain about them.

HID VS LED

I'm looking at the D2s, but Black Box Logistics has some 7" round HIDs for half the price and almost twice the Lumen (2600LED vs 4200 HID). Any reason other than the fact that the LEDs will last longer that I should go with the D2s instead?

Question....has anyone installed the JW Speaker fog lights? How hard are they to install?? Does the bumper have to come off? Is there a harness that needs to be purchased also like the 8700's??
I'm really debating buying them because I know I'm going to change up the bumper in the future. Do most bumpers have 4.5" fog lights??

Just did, I have an AEV bumper, but either way it was easy. Bumper stays on, buy the Nemesis JK mounts (rebel Offroad). I bought the plug and play wiring harness from T1G.

For those driving with jw speakers or trucklites headlights, I was wondering if you tick off other drivers with the brightness of the lights? And does it effect the drivers coming towards you or in front of you. And if you were stopped by the police at anytime. Thanks.
