I have been watching your thread with interest. I have been studying replacement headlights for a while. I want to get the most bang for my buck! I JUST pulled the trigger and ordered a set of Truck Lites. I read so many comments saying how great they are I decided to take the plunge. I hope you find the info you are seeking!

I don't know if you made your decision, but I put in my Truck Lites this week and went on an 8 hour road trip at night last night. This encompassed interstate and rural roads. They were excellent! They lit the highway very well and I don't regret it at all! Good luck!

Truck lites have a horrible x beam pattern with a bright spot dead center. My .02 would be h4 hella e codes with higher watt bulbs or an hid retrofit if you wanted the best lighting possible.

X2 on the hella ecodes. Love mine. Considering dropping an HID kit in them.

I have had the TL's for a while now...probably three years or better. I would not consider myself a jeeper that abuses their equipment. I cranked my Jeep up this morning and one headlamp not lighting. Not a happy camper. Since I was an early adopter I paid over $600 for them thinking they would last. I haven't spoken with their Customer Support yet this morning but I believe I am beyond their 3yr warranty. If they won't cover it I will be purchasing the KC's

I have the TL and though it does have the X beam, I don't find it real annoying. I drive with the high beams a lot coming home from work; narrow two way road with blind corners/hills and no street lights. I rarely notice the X beam until I drive at lower speeds. No I don't regret my choice, plus I paid less than $380 with shipping for the pair and full warranty. Having to buy KC Lights, bulbs, and wiring would have been less yes, but TL's are literally plug and go.

There are so many types of lights out there that it's all based on preference, budget, how bright you want them; night trail rides or middle of nowhere living.

x3 but don't put HID kits in h4's. H4 lamps were never intended to have HID bulbs in them.
