Walmart led lights

Hey guys, I was at Walmart tonight and seen that they now carry LED off road lights. Well me being willing to give them a try decided to drop the 32$ plus tax just to play with them and give a review on them.

So I got them home, unboxed them and throw the wires of one of them on the battery. Big disappointment. Honestly I didn't expect much since they're walmart, and since it is Walmart I know ill be able to return them no problem.

As far as it goes the lights are really nice looking, 5 bulb setup in each housing, and give off a nice crystal clear light that is very close to my 6000k hid's in my jeep right now. But unlike my hid's that light up road signs 2 miles away on a dark highway these off road light didn't exist past ten feet. They did have some smaller led lights for around 15$ that I believe would make great rock lights. I couldn't get any pics of them on (the little woman/picture taker is at work and the dog don't have thumbs lol), but I did get one of them back in the box sitting on my tool cart to be returned tmrw.

Cliffs notes: they suck, but would work as reverse lights, or the smaller set would make great low cost rock lights.

I didn't see those lights but the location i was at about 2 months ago had a selection of about 10 other random LED lights and they were all very lame so your review doesn't surprise me. All the lights were on par with typical dollar-store LED flashlights. I doubt the beam would go much farther than 5-10 feet on the ones i saw. I just bought a Nitecore flashlight that only has a single LED and it fits in the palm of your hand. I can't wait for this technology to get into car lightbars at the same price level. If i knew more about how the switches worked, i would try wiring a couple of these flashlights into a car.

I was looking at them as rock lights. From owning the same brand /style in a halogen, i knew they'd suck

Well duh! Did anyone get beam pattern pics? Might be useful for reverse lights...

well those are clearly racing lights so if you lower your jeep and throw a CAI in it they'll probably work better

They're not even bright enough for back-up lights. Going to mount them under the hood just to put them somewhere. I think the dome light is brighter.
