Want to install aux. reverse light

Don't need it switched. Fine with just tapping into the stock reverse wire. anyone have a tutorial on how to do this? Or which wire?

Also, was thinking of installing a Rigid SRM on one of theor brackets that mount on top of the tail light housing, but don't really want to drill into it. Are there any other options out there that dont require drilling?

If you have a trailer pin, plug them into that

Watch the brackets that mount on top of the brake lights. I heard they block the soft top and make it near impossible to take it on and off.

check the draw of the lights too. you'll probably need a relay if you don't go with LED.

No soft top, and am considering LED so no draw concerns. Just wondering what wire is the hot for reverse light?

Anyone? Someone has to have tapped into the stock reverse light wire. I'd rather not go poking holes with a test lamp.

When I put on led rear tail lights I lost my reverse lights. I just added a set of 55 watt driving lights in there place and cut holes in the rear bumper. I just used the hot lead from the reverse to the positive and the ground to the bumper under the light... And they only work when I drop it in reverse

Just throw it in reverse with the key on (not cranked) and get back there with a test light or voltmeter. Should only be a few wires to have to test. (Sorry I'm no help I've got a YJ)

Yeah, I know, just wanted to minimize the probing around I had to do. Someone has to have done this before. I can't be the first on a JK.

Hi i just did this with my tj. My wire was purple. Just take off the lens and look at the socket for the reverse lamp for the wire color. I used led driving lamps and needed no relay for them
