Mud.. thanks for the offer.. I'll have to get back to you on this seeing how wife would have to find a box etc to ship this in. Then get a cost/total of the shipping.. I would rather not have to break down the top (to many cases of loosing parts)
At the moment I've had a PM from someone else who lives in PA.. let me she what they say and I'll get back to you on the shipping.

OK mud seems the other fellow just canceled.. Heres what we have to do.. Next week I'll get some shrink wrap so wife can take the top to her work.. weigh it and then give me a guesstemate of the shipping cost.. Once she text me this info I'll forward this to you here.

Just so you know.. You may need a few things to allow this top to work.. Door Surrounds/rear gate/door channel (holds the window down) Check your hard top to see if it has a detachable door surrounds.. and make sure you have the rear channel support brackets.. One more thing look behind the front seats (around the roll cage area) to see if you have the softop support brackets (which mount to the roll cage) I'm including these brackets just in case.

Updated: Just cycled through three possibel prospects on buying the soft top.. and all of them failed.. One back out, One wanted it shipped (cost to much) and one wanted to meet me in NJ..

Thou they have been very informative and helpfull and I've been doing our best to sell this top.. I will say one thing that I've learn.. If we have to venture out of the MD,PA,DE,VA areas I will need to ask for a deposit as a reasurance that the person wants the top and that deposit isn't refundable.. Sounds harsh.. but We can't just pick up and drive somewhere like NJ without some sore of reasurance they/them actually want to top.. You must understand this..

Otherwise the top is still for sale and again asking 180.00 OBO

UPdate: Just sent word to Mudslingr in the hopes he is still interested in the softop.. UPS has informed me of what and how we can ship the top.. Assuming mud doesn't want the top.. we can have it ready to ship at a moments notice..

Currently asking.. $100.00 plus shipping..

Update: Still no takers on this Softop.. Mudslingr backed out of buying the top.. So there is two way you can get this top:

1)Buy it out right (if you live in MD,PA or VA) for $180.00 (will deliver or meetup)
or
2)Buy it and have it shipped for the cost of shipping for $100.00 (Plus shipping cost)

Updated:

With the announcment that we can take the softop to the Jeep show at the Frederick fairgrounds in Aug.. and if we actually decide to go to this event.. I'll have the top and all the parts at our spot..

Note: Here is what you'll need to make this top fit:

1: DoorJams for 07-current
2: Rear window bracket (holds the window down)

So here is what we're looking for as options for buying or swaping the softop:
  • Buy Outright $100.00 OBO
  • Soft Doors (for two door Wrangler) Must be near or like new, little stains
  • V-Style Full Bug Guard (without the V-hood bra, Just the front grille area bra only) Again must be Near New
  • HighRock/Bestop Modulare rack storage tray and hardware. Condition can vary, as long as all the parts are accounted for. Storage and Racks
Fingers crossed.. and I'll post once more when I get the final word..

Just Got A Bump This One

Welp just had a fellow from Canada ask about the softop and if I still had it. Which I do. His issue is the cold weather has taken it's toll on his zippers.. I told him about this forum and he is interested in the softop.. But he brought up an interesting idea..

I was trying to sell the whole thing softop, hardware screws etc.. Turns out he just wants the fabric softop. So I set out to look at how easy or hard it is to remove the tube framing thats attached to the fabric softop.

So because I'm able to remove the tubing I can simply roll up the softop, side windows and even include the front window/roof bracket. All for $100.00 plus shipping as quoted above (around $125.00) should cover within the US & Canada shipping unless shipping is more than $25.00 I'll have to post that once I get your Zip and actually prep the box for shipping.

Morn Pixie.. Hey Your in NJ that would make a nice trip for us thou we would need some sort of guarantee that the top would be bought before making the trip.. Yes The guy from Canada asked for some pics as well.. So once I get the sleep out of my eyes I'll go grab some pics. Thanks for the interest.

Oh and the link issue?.. well I just learn this month that myopera.com is shutting down their service..(IE another social media site bits the dust) and yes I had 1000+ images storage on that site and they aren't willing to allow me access to recover them.

Also just to a look at your profile.. Mind you your current top is a hardtop.. in this case you would need all of the softops hardware plus door surrounds & the rear gate channel.. which those two items can be purchased via 4wd or other jeep sites.

Reminder: For a limited time you can still see images that have been left on the myopera.com social network.. but only until myopera shuts down in March.

Do a search: OurJeepLife (images) to view past images of the softop. Thou a bit small nothing has changed other than it's been in the basement since that last Spring.

What condition are the zippers, top material and windows? Is it for a two door or a four door?

1) Zippers = Near mint contrition because I've been using sexwax (surffers wax) on them. Thou I've replaced the pull strings with black tie wraps.
2) Several options: I can send just the softop (material and side windows) and post a couple of images just to show you how easy it is to install or remove from the hardware/frame. Note: Because of the way the softop is installed on the header bar.. I'll include that as well. (all youd be missing is just the tubing/hardware and mounting brackets) Unless you are running a hardtop.. then you'll need the door surrounds and rear tailgate channel as stated above.
3) 2008 Jeep Wrangler X 2 door.

Now that I'm awake I'll grab some more pics (again search online) for small pics from last year. Those pics will be removed around March and I've pleaded with opera to grant me access to recover nearly 1000 stored image.. I have been denied several times.

For Sale: Pics of the 08 Jeep Wrangler (clear...

There seems to be a lot of response to this thread.. Views too.. so I'm not sure why this isn't selling. Is it cause I'm not making myself clear on the price?.. or is the price to high?..

Let's see if I can readjust this. There can be several options for those interested in acquiring this softop.. Sure it's not new and needs some cleaning.. and If I have to ship it.. not knowing the actually shipping cost until everyone is in agreement on what they want.

IE:
Option 1: The skin (fabric) only but I would include the header channel (fornt window channel) I'd ask $100 plus shipping prob about $25.00 (anywhere USA & Canada)

Option 2: The full set every seen in the pics posted on tumblr.. The draw back to this is asking $180 plus shipping, but without your zip the shipping along would eat up the total cost.

Option 3: Meet up within these states in order (MD,PA,VA,NC,WV,DE) The closer you are the more saves there will be. Also, If you need me to install it while at the final destination.. this can be done as part of the total price. However, If you have a hard top.. best find someone to help you lift it off because of my back issues.. this would be impossible for me to offer you any help.

Over all I'm open to other suggestions.. Part it out.. back window and side windows (only) as an option. Or maybe you need just the tubing (frame)

But there is one last Option.. $85.00 you pick up (will name the place and time on set date MD only)
