YOU are mistaken. Call RK and find out. They told me to sell these for a JK. They must have made a change in their production because the new JKU coils are taller........Don

You must live right around the corner from me. I'm in City In The Hills. I'd look at these but I have a JKU as well.

First I've heard of model-specific coils from RK myself. Hmm....

I try to stay on top of RK news since I run their gear too.

Don, you now have 3 people telling you that your wrong. RK does not have separate coils for 2 or 4 door Jeep. Either you misunderstood what the person at RK said to you or they misunderstood what you asked. Their website doesn't even specify 2 or 4 door specific springs. I suggest you clarify your post before you mislead someone into buying something that is not available.

Matador. Instead of calling me out . why don't you call RK. Again, here is what happened. I ordered the Rock Krawler 2.5" Max Travel Pro lift kit. They sent me the kit. I had it installed and only got 1". RK had me take photos of the coils on my jeep and send them. After reviewing the photos they told me they had sent the wrong coils and would immediately send me the correct coils. But they would not pay for re-installing them, said I could sell the coils to a JK owner and he would get 2.5" of lift, therefor, I could come out ok on the money. NOW then, JEREMY at Rock Krawler told me they have several different sizes and types of coils in their inventory so Please don't argue with me, argue with them like I had to do.

I don't think he was calling you out Don. We are very familiar with RK and just find this interesting.

RK's coil distributer changed the coils for whatever reason. According to RK the wire is smaller but ride/rating is the same.
Nothing about ride height changing or offering a 2 and a 4 door coil.

I sent him a PM and curious of his response. I said nothing of you or the issues you are having.

That's a fantastic price and think you should sell no problem.

Can you post pics of the springs including any part numbers on them? I'll take them right now if they're actually from the 2.5 kit. I'm confused as to how I'd get 2.5" on a JK since this is from RK's website:

***** 4 doors will generally achieve 3" of front lift and 2" of rear lift. 2 doors will generally achieve 3.5" of front lift and 2.5" of rear lift. These dimensions are based on fully upfitted JK's!

"Fully uplifted" is the key. My 2 door is at 3.5-4" with RK 2.5's

Right, I'm just curious how 1" will turn to 2.5" on a similarly equipped vehicle when RK says it's only 0.5" difference between the 2 and 4 doors.

Damn, did you need to add anything else to the kit? The stock mod kit seems incomplete if the lift will be over 3.5"

cmaggi2. My jeep has almost every mod you can put on the exterior except roof rack. Which includes 5 skids, bumpers, swing-out tire carrier,12000lb winch, Ace sliders, and Falken 35" ( heavy)tires. Minus Rubicon rock rails and stock fenders. Now have flat Bushwacker fenders. My rig is much heavier than a stock Rubicon. RK was told this before I ordered the lift. If I air the tires up to 40lbs I get a total of 1.5". Jeremy at RK ( the BOSS ) told me that their lift heights are based on stock jeeps. Back to the coils... Jeremy told me, after considerable research these coils came to them without numbers. He then told me that they are better suited for a JK and the JK should get 2.5". Call Jeremy at Rock Krawler and tell him who you are dealing with and he will tell you the same.

I personally think 3.5's would be perfect for a loaded 4 door like yourself.

I will try and give him a call today. The reason I"m worried is that if I get b/w 1.5 and 2" of lift on a second hand item I won't have any support from RK like you got. As I said, I'll take 'em if Jeremy can explain why they'd work on my JK.

So I spoke w/ Jeremy at Rock Krawler today and he informed me these springs would indeed give about 2.5" of lift on a stock-weight 2 door JK. However, these are not the same springs that come w/ the RK 2.5" kit. These were an earlier version coil they tested before releasing the current version and is 3/8" shorter than the current 2.5" RK coil w/ the same spring rate. This was my first time calling RK and their customer service was excellent. Jeremy also confirmed there is no difference b/w the JK and JKU coils.

If I wouldn't have bought JKU springs already, I'd be all over these. Way better and should sell quick, they just aren't the same as the rk 2.5 springs. GL with sale! If someone wants my 18/59s, I'd probably try em out!
